https://bleacherreport.com/articles...e-top-2019-undrafted-nba-free-agent-prospects Brian Bowen, SF, Sydney Kings It's been a long path for Brian Bowen, who was initially committed to Louisville but was ineligible to play after his father allegedly took $100,000 to get his son to go to the school. He tried to continue his career in Australia, where he averaged 6.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game for the Sydney Kings. Despite the modest statistics, he got decent playing time on a team filled with older players, including Andrew Bogut. It's also important to remember Bowen was considered a 5-star prospect out of high school thanks to his smooth scoring ability. If he gets an opportunity to prove himself in Summer League, the wing can put the past two years behind him. "Tacko Fall, C, UCF It's impossible to miss Tacko Fall, measuring at 7'7" in shoes at the combine with a wingspan of 8'2½", setting a record for both.
It's surprising to me that not one team thought Porter was a good enough risk that they were willing to let him spend a year rehabbing on their dime. His medicals must have been bad. Also a little surprised at Dort. A raw physical talent who needs a ton of work - but that could be said of guys who were drafted. Why did he not withdraw and return to school? Was he not listening to what teams told him? King and Wooten don't surprise me. Nice college players, but neither of them will be more than an end-of-the-bench guy in the NBA.
I just wish he had more size and something more than just alley-oops to his offensive game. He is a competitor though, he will find his way overseas.
We are not in need of more undeveloped youngsters as we have Simons, Trent, Collins, Skal and Little all in early 20's and younger and we are also limited on roster spots.
I know, but drafting a player doesn't guarantee they are willing to sign a 2 way contract and we only have one slot left as we plucked one that was undrafted.
Some of those have already signed with teams. I believe we worked out Bowman and King and they’re still unsigned so maybe we give them a look.
Maybe he was talking about the late 2nd round and decided to go un-drafted so he could go back to college. I believe un-drafted players have until Monday to make that decision.
I've never seen a player more offensively raw than Tacko Fall, but I'd happily bring him in as an UDFA. He's a difference maker on defense, and we need that by committee until Nurk gets back. He has a decent motor, and having slid off the board on draft night, I'm already looking forward to referring to him as TBTCTHTF (the bigger they come, the harder they Fall). The HCP should be proud.
Probably means that teams asked him to be a draft and stash guy -- go play in Europe for a couple of years. The "etiquette" of doing that, typically, is to get the player's approval before going that route.
I'm not entirely shocked King went undrafted. I am, however, flabbergasted that it doesn't appear he has a great UDFA market. That or possible he's just being selective with offers? I'd LOVE for Portland to snag him -- unless there's unforeseen injury or legal/attitude issues -- he's everything you want in a player...
I can see the Porter comps... he was basically a point forward in HS too, so there's more to his game than 3 & D. He's not a finished product by any means, but he's got the body and length, can shoot from range, defend, handle, pass, played hurt and made personal sacrifices for his team all season long.. Really curious what's up there. There's a rumor that he basically showed up at Oregon knowing he was 1 and done and treated his "education" as such... teams being turned off by that attitude is the only thing I can think of for why he went undrafted...
Possibly the greatest and most telling quote in sports history... The reality, though, is MOST one and dones don't...
