Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League Liège could complain about the goals Arsenal was able to score. One was clearly a handball and the other was well offside, but the writing was on the wall when Benny scored at 45 minutes. Liège had nothing left in the tank. Olympiacos beat AZ 1-0 so a win by Arsenal on the 29th would put them into first in the group.
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League Yep, both of the goals definitely should not of been but it was still a great comeback by the lads.
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League Arsenal should be able to field a stronger team against Olympiacos than they did against Liege. Arseblog predicts this lineup: Mannone Sagna - Gallas - Vermaelen - Clichy Song - Diaby - Cesc - Arshavin - Rosicky RVP
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League Arsenal didn't make it look easy, but they still dominated from whistle to whistle. So far so good for the Gunners.
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League Arsenal's one and only CL game this month is tomorrow. AZ is currently tied with Liege with one point each.
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League You gonna update the first post? I don't remember the scores and I'm a lazy fuck.
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League I updated it for you, bro. Feel free to change it if I made it into a huge clusterfuck.
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League Yeah sorry I wasn't motivated to update the thread. Porto was a pretty good draw. We've been lucky so far but I doubt it will last much longer.
Re: Group Stage, UEFA Champions League Song, Gallas, Eduardo, Arshavin, and Almunia will miss the away fixture. Vela has been reactivated.
Re: UEFA Champions League 2009-10 Updated. Odds are we'll see the following teams in the quarter-finals: Barcelona (def. Stuttgart) Chelsea (def. Inter Milan) Sevilla (def. CKSA Moscow) Having scored away from home these teams need only slim home wins to advance. Bordeaux (def. Olympiacos) Manchester United (def. Milan) Both Bordeaux and Manchester United won on the road meaning anything but a bad loss will work out for them. Real Madrid (def. Lyon) Madrid lost @ Lyon but you'd expect them to pop three or four goals at home to advance. Bayern Munich (def. Fiorentina) (already advanced along with Arsenal) Odds are we won't get an easy ride in the quarters (five of seven are giant clubs). Not that you'd expect one in the CL. We've had good draws so far. Hopefullly our luck continues and we pull Sevilla or Bordeaux.
