When asked why he was accepting a fight with unranked light heavyweight, Anthony Johnson stated that he wanted to give Błachowicz the opportunity other veteran fighters had given him.

Lol is this a legitimate PPV? This is worse than a lot of the Fight Pass cards. Good for Anthony Johnson but uh? I don't get it. A win does absolutely nothing for him and a loss kill any momentum he could establish after losing to Cormier.

Johnson complained after his last payday that he wanted to be the co-main under another, bigger title fight. Doesn't look like that's happening.

Six fights announced, not one so far I'm keen on. Card needs major work.

So much for that. Johnson will now face Jimi Manuwa. Błachowicz will get another opponent.

Arlovski vs. Mir added as co-main

The fight makes sense but for some reason I don't like it. I think it's because Mir should win and if he does we've pointlessly removed a title contender in an already thin division?

Hope Mir doesn't win. Never liked that guy. Arlovski is exciting and entertaining. Hope he wins

    Whoever lands flush first, wins.

    AA will win.

Can we just merge DJ and Ronda into one fight card? It'd make a lot more sense. That way there is always two title fights by the two most dominating fighters in MMA.

Johnson and Dodson have both been tested in the last week or so.

I don't understand why the UFC is going ahead with Johnson as a PPV headliner again.

Johnson vs. Horiguchi - 125,000 buys
Johnson vs. Cariaso - 200,000 buys
Johnson vs. Bagautinov - 115,000 buys

People--hardcores and casuals alike--are not buying Mighty Mouse PPV's. Joe Rogan can push him all he wants it isn't getting him over.

I like the guy but they are actually burying him by doing this. He needs to be a co-main. He isn't getting to the PPV cut threshold I think.

Edit: to clarify, by burying I mean nobody is seeing him fight which means his PPV buys won't go up in the future since they aren't building on anything; also, he's making comparatively little money vs. other champs because of the low buy-rates, so he has less exposure and is making less money by being forced into the headliner

Rocky Pennington's opponent is going to be Liz Carmouche.

Never mind what I said about PPV buys, that puts this one over the top.

Sarah Kaufman has asked for the fight. Step up for Pennington--dunno if she will agree.
