And 9/10 champions have two or fewer title defenses. Parity in the UFC seems to be on the rise. DJ is now the longest tenured champion having won the inaugural flyweight title in 2012. He has seven title defenses and counting--two short of GSP and three of Anderson Silva. Henry Cejudo is the only guy who might be able to derail him from the looks of it. Carla Esparza > Joanna Jędrzejczyk Ronda Rousey > Holly Holm Demetrious Johnson (retained) TJ Dillashaw (retained) Jose Aldo > Conor McGregor Anthony Pettis > Rafael dos Anjos Robbie Lawler (retained) Chris Weidman > Luke Rockhold Jon Jones (stripped) > Daniel Cormier Cain Velasquez > Fabricio Werdum
I think DC's title needs an asterisk beside it simply because Jones never lost a fight... he just snorted up 1/2 of Peru. Does anyone think Bones doesn't take his belt back?
We'll see. I'm actually curious to see if Jones' heart is truly in the fight game. A little off topic, but that family seems to have some issues. I'm not judging, because every family does. His brother just had a bad medical reaction, some are calling it an OD, to synthetic marijuana.
A half-hearted Jon Jones still wrecks the LHW division. His talent level is so high. I'm beginning to think the Gustafsson fight was an anomaly. Didn't know about his brother.
