After identifying a few different career options, such as going to IFL or signing a contract with BoDog Fight, it looks like the world ranked #1 pound-for-pound fighter and the PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko could be joining UFC in the coming weeks.

Fedor supposedly has several contract stipulations, including allowing him to compete in Russia and work with M-1, getting his teammates at Red Devil also signed to contracts (brother Aleksandar, Amar Suloev, etc.), and permitting Fedor to compete in Sambo tournaments.

UFC heavyweight champ Randy Couture has expressed interest in fighting Fedor, and UFC Pres Dana White and UFC commentator Joe Rogan have both been open about the negotiations going on with the PRIDE product.

The depth in the UFC's HW division has gotten crazy over the last year. It is likely to be the deepest HW division of all time if Fedor signs.
