I wonder if DFW will be kept on in some capacity. It would probably be smart to keep him around one way or another. He's an asshole. But he's successful.
Wanda has many business investments including owning AMC (the channel and theatre chain), Legendary Entertainment/Pictures, 20% of Atlético Madrid, the World Triathalon Corporation, Sunseeker Int'l Yachts, 55 hotels, 99 department stores, over 1,000 theatre screens, and 84 karaoke centres. They control 21.6-million square metres of investment property. They are the main sponsor of Chinese Super League football as well as being a World Cup sponsor and first-tier FIFA sponsor. Wanda Group is headed by Wang Jianlin. He is the richest man in Asia and worth over $35bn personally. He is a PLA veteran and is known for being extremely ambitious, compared by one outlet to Napoleon.
China Media Capital, seen as the second frontrunner, is another giant Chinese media conglomerate. They own a controlling interest in Flagship Entertainment. The chairman is Li Ruigang. He is at the forefront of bringing mainstream media from the West into inland China. He is involved with DreamWorks and owns a stake in Manchester City FC.
I've read a couple of reports that the Fertittas will still have a major majority ownership, followed by the Chineae group, and tailed out with DFW at 9% ownership. This deal is supposedly to help the UFC become huge in the Chinese market.
And the Arab guys. The UFC hasn't exactly made inroads with Flash AFAICT. We always hear about how many people in China are dying to consume Western media but even if 1% of the population are interested in the UFC that's a potential new fanbase over 1.3-million people.
