Khem Birch - Dude posted 11.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game. Would love to see if we can pick this guy up. Patric Young - Center from Florida. Looked like a beast in the NCAA tournament on the glass
Never saw a UNLV game this year but heard good stuff about Birch. Plus everyone calls him Kim...like a GIRL. Might have a chip on his/her shoulder.
Yeah--McAdoo and Young are both going to be highly sought after UFAs, IMO. I'd like to see Young and MyLe in the gym together. Bhullar is the epitome of "giant stiff". Like Pavel Podkolzine. He'll never play in the bigs.
There are a couple of guys I'd like to see on our summer league roster: DeAndre Kane. Iowa State. 6'4", 17.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.9 apg, 1.2 spg, 2.0 a/t, 39.8 3p%. He's 25 yrs old, but he's got solid overall stats. Jordan Bachynski. Arizona State. 7'2", 11.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 4.0 bpg, 54.5% fg%. Top shot blocker in the nation. He's almost 25 yrs old. Khem Birch. UNLV. 6'9". 11.5 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 3.8 bpg, 51.0 fg%. He's only 21 yrs old, just completed his junior year. 2nd in the nation in blocking shots. Number 16 in the nation in rebound. I'll be going to Vegas to catch the last weekend of summer league. I've gone a couple of times in the past few years. It's pretty fun for a basket ball junkie like me. Each year I've seen a few old time players in the stands and/or general area - Geoff Petrie, Jim Paxon and Patrick Ewing are a few. With Robinson, Barton, McCollum, Leonard, and Freeland on our roster this year, I'm expecting us to do pretty well. We'll see how they measure up against some of these highly touted rookies.
mocks were saying mcadoo as a top 3 pick coming out of high school, the age limit screwed him out of 20+ million dollars
if he was worth the 20+million dollars shouldn't he have been worth that after x amount of years in college? More like the age limit saved a team drafting and overpaying a bust? I know nothing about McAdoo but seems like it if he went from being a top 3 pick out of high school.. to being undrafted after x amount of years in college... kinda seems like he shouldn't have been as highly hyped coming out of high school. I remember Wiggins being called "The next LeBron" after his SR year of high school. I don't think anyone believes he's going to be on LeBron's level anymore do they?
just read a little on McAdoo.... Some said he would have been a top 5 pick after his freshman year.... he stayed in college by his OWN CHOICE for two more years. He had one more year of eligibility left... The age rule does not apply here.
Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA Davion Berry will play for the Portland Trail Blazers' summer league team, according to a source.
