    I read between the lines, MLB could issue the suspensions after the allstar game, however the players union could appeal and thus no decisions till 2014. This is going to get ugly I fear between MLB and Union. Unions are so old fashion...

    ...the bad thing is that the union leader is instinctively reacting based on past practice...as you say unions in general, are passe' and are not as necessary as they once were...no sweat shops these days.
    ...but from what I've read, the players at least, seem to be fed up with the whole PEDs thing and are annoyed that they are constantly having to field questions about it. Chris Davis also echoed this recently because though he's having a monster season, he must answer the reporters' queries about whether or not he is "clean" and PEDs implications. If I were a "clean" player it would tick me off too.
    ...I don't see the players being unanimously "united" on the suspension issue.

    ...guess we'll see.
