<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Surrounded by a media contingent after practice Tuesday, Bulls coach Scott Skiles made a surprising declaration when asked about the heavy minutes logged recently by rookie point guard Kirk Hinrich.

"If I wanted to break it all down, Kirk's our best player,'' Skiles said. "So he stays on the court the most.''

Hinrich, 23, isn't the fastest, tallest or highest-paid player on the team, and he doesn't lead the Bulls in any major category. But as far as Skiles is concerned, Hinrich leads the team in the most important categories.

"All around, top to bottom, he's been our most consistent and best player,'' Skiles said. "So we need to keep him out there. We're a totally different team when Kirk sits down.
