    There is a rumor going around that Aldo is injured (possible broken rib/s) and out of UFC 189.

    Jose Aldo supposedly still wants the fight but the UFC have made contact with Frank Edgar in case Aldo can't be medically cleared.

    Chael Sonnen says that Aldo's never hit the threshold for PPV sharing (UFC 129?) and stands to lose $3.5-million in PPV cut if he drops out.

    so dissappointing. Even if Aldo proceeds but ends up looking bad it will suck.

    Apparently McGregor is a bit of a sooth sayer too

    Man I hope the reports are over stating his injury... but I doubt it.

    I knew Aldo was injury prone, but I never realized how many fights he had pulled out of.

    Edgar is probably game. I'd like to see Edgar/McGregor.

    Is McGregor going to have similar issues that Pettis did though? Where a wrestler could hump him on the ground? I think conor gets a slightly better than tomato can opponent so Dana doesnt lose out on a huge payday with aldo McGregor

    McGregor's gonna fight, no doubt, whether it's against Aldo or Edgar or someone else. They won't miss the opportunity to showcase him.

    Mendes has supposedly gotten the call--he's second in line behind Edgar.

    Even if McGregor loses, I guarantee that DFW will have him fight Aldo at the NYE card...too much money to be made even if McGregor loses...

    Could be one of two things--Aldo cleared medically to fight or a replacement signed-on to face McGregor.

    Nate Diaz is claiming he's fighting McGregor.
