http://mmajunkie.com/2017/07/gegard-mousasi-signs-multi-fight-bellator-deal-after-4-year-ufc-run #6 ranked MW Gegard Mousasi has signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator, rumoured to be for 6-fights in excess of $200k per fight.
I had to look up BFC's MW rankings to remember who was even in that division. Not very deep. 1 Alexander Shlemenko 2 Rafael Carvalho 3 John Salter 4 Anatoly Tokov 5 Melvin Manhoef
Huge get for Bellator. The only two middleweights I personally hold above Gegard at the moment just fought on Saturday. Dude is gonna roll over the MW division.......So, I personally would love to see him step up a weight class and fight Liam McGeary. I think that would be a barn burner.

Carvalho says Gegard needs to earn a Bellator title shot. At first I thought Mousassi more than earned it with his recent wins, but I actually kind of agree with Rafael's reasoning as I think of it. Nothing says second rate promotion like always giving guys title shots based purely off of what they did in another promotion. Outside of Jake Shields, the UFC does not give new fighters title shots in their first fight for the most part.
