    Details:

Says DFW is such a good promoter that he's convinced people that (GSP) doesn't want to fight

    - GSP had been negotiating with the UFC since February
    - GSP and Lorenzo had negotiated for a fight at UFC 206 but the UFC sold and the new owners took the offer off the table
    - GSP's 2011 contract was still active but the UFC had a deadline to give him a fight
    - The last day of the deadline, late at night, they got a letter asking him to fight Robbie Lawler (who had just pulled out of NYC card, wanted several more months time off), which they didn't respond to
    - The next day his lawyer told him he's a free agent

    - Dana White doesn't know what it is to be a fighter
    - GSP: I will always stand and support fighters
    - Sad and disappointed for the fans, not for himself, thinks he would've sold out the ACC in minutes

GSP confirms that he'll be open to listening to offers from other organizations

    - GSP is confident he can beat the guys who are champions now
    - GSP is happy to be a free man

    - GSP on unionization: It's up to guys like me, CMac, Anderson Silva, to stand up for guys who don't have (our clout)

    - Denies that he asked for $10-million, says it was "very, very reasonable"
    - On Bisping saying GSP overpriced himself: "I hope that he was well taken care of (for UFC 204)"

    - GSP thought he was going to fight, was preparing to fight, now his options are gone since he's not under contract anymore, feels drained

    - Thinks the introduction of USADA is an improvement, very unhappy with Brock Lesnar's exception, says there should be no grey area

    - GSP was very pumped up to fight a few weeks ago, feels deflated by current events, feels he's entering unknown territory, doesn't know what's going to happen

    - GSP sounds insulted that the UFC suggested they'd have to "reintroduce" him to fans

    - Reebok deal doesn't sound like an issue at all

Important to note that GSP didn't say much that would be considered bridge burning between himself and the UFC. He obviously hasn't closed that door.

Ariel wonders aloud why Lorenzo Fertitta was used as a mediator between the UFC and Chris Weidman but not GSP. WME just weren't interested in having him back? DFW being a cunt?

GSP's lawyer, James Quinn, kind of a big deal

He's tried not to cockblock Rory.

I think he will re-sign with the UFC or be done with it. I don't see him going elsewhere, TBQH.

    Bring back Lorenzo!

I've got a feeling GSP's lawyer knows a thing or two about his contract. GSP is a smart guy, I don't see him going public with something like that without being pretty damn positive about it.

Lorenzo was a goon. He's the one who tried to end Ariel Helwani's career three times. Strange he seems to be a softer touch in negotiations.

Pretty sure the problem between GSP and the UFC is the longstanding rivalry between WME-IMG and CAA.

This Quinn guy is a high profile lawyer but if the UFC intends on tangling GSP up in court to keep him from signing elsewhere they will probably succeed. The only difference between GSP and the other jabronis is that GSP can bankroll a top notch legal team if he has to.

GSP's contract likely didn't have any language in it in regards to reebok. I wonder if his lawyer is looking at that as a loop hole.

For an example of DFW's misinformation really getting to casual fans, check this out...

Quinn explains their position... sounds less strong than they probably need it to be...

    http://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/...awyers-cite-ufc-inactivity-reason-nixing-deal

"Our position is the contract is terminated," Quinn said. "I suppose they could take legal steps against that or they could offer a new contract. They have a variety of options on their side."

    ...

"The UFC waited until the 11th-and-a-half hour to come back with bare bones information, that floated one fighter and nothing else," Hochstadt said. "No specifics at all in terms of fight date, venue, number of rounds. All we got, at the 11th hour, was a proposal for somebody. And as Georges said, we don't know if [Lawler is] ready and able to fight. All we know is he just pulled out of a fight.

"We were working through all the issues in play and had been squaring them away. One of them, no surprise, was the UFC has a Reebok deal that came in long after Georges' contract. We were working through those things, but ultimately, you've got to schedule a fight for your fighter. The UFC knows how to schedule fights. This is what they do every day. Send a bout agreement with all the specifics. They didn't do that here. Why they chose not to do that, I don't know."
