His three point percentage is about the same as Curry, but they are hardly in the game with Korver and Thompson.
Wow! Korver is .534 on the year. One make less than Mathews in 92 fewer attempt

Just because you have a great three point shooting percentage for in games does not mean you will be great in a 3 point contest. I'm not surprised at this one bit. Can Wes make it though all the balls with stepping back with every shot?

I don't think Wes is going to do well - at all - in the contest.

I was going to say basically the same thing: it shows they've been paying attention. Both Lillard and Wes have been struggling with their shots after bad falls in games. Plus, I just get the feeling Wes is a shooter who thrives off of game intensity and the rhythm of the game.

This. Wes will falter when it's just him, a rack of balls, and several million people watching.

Isn't he the lowest % shooter of the field?

Nobody has ever given him great odds and he keeps proving everyone wrong.
    He will win it.

F the haters, Wes is a great 3 point shooter and he could kill the competition. Alas that is not how the 3 point contest works, and if you need proof of that then all you need to do is look at the fact that Curry has never won it.

Basically if Wes has his shot going like he can, he can easily win...Its all about who's hot, streaky shooters either suck or go lights out.

It's about how quickly you can release the ball accurately. Curry has a quick release, but he used to fold under pressure. This season looks different. Curry has been pretty clutch all season. I think he wins the entire thing.

Might not have the quickest release but it's by no means slow, and he's got great form. Anyone claiming Wes doesn't stand a chance doesn't watch him play, or doesn't understand the game.

Honestly wes could put up a record if he's hot enough. I'd put money on him if I lived in Vegas!

Pretty hard to tell when none of us have seen him shoot through a rack of balls, One thing about Wes is his actually shot doesn't use a lot of energy or overall body, and he has a very quick release.

OK, I'll take that bet Mags. I got Matthews, you got Curry. What do we bet? Beer? Chicken wings? All-inclusive Yamhill Valley wine tour chauffered by SPD?

I think he's a basketball player, not a H.O.R.S.E. player - which is basically what the 3-point contest is. He seems like he thrives off of head-to-head, 5-on-5 competition, rather than solo performances. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong - I really don't care either way because All-Star weekend is stupid.

I don't blame you. It's not smart to bet against Wes.

If he doesn't win we should trade him to the Lakers.

Wes and Lillard both suck. They miss shots sometimes.
