The report today is that he had a meeting with the team and has decided to call it quits at the end of this year. What are your thought KC? Is it a ploy to get his team to play for him today or is it true. If it is true I'm sure there will be good press conference with not a dry eye.

Everytghing I've come across confirms DV is retiring. I'm sorry to say but I won't shed a tear.

I do want to know if Larry Johnson will get him some huggies as a retirement gift?

Further, Will Martz succeed Vermeil like he did on the other side of the state? LOL.

Whoever inherits the Chiefs is gonna have a hell of a team next year. He will already have a great offense, and maybe with some good discpline a good defense

I have heard that the Chiefs may make a run at Herm Edwards.

NO, hall of fame have to be 1. A super bowl winner and a carrer winning percentage over .700 2. Respected 3. Popular

He has none of the above.

Martz and Vermeil are carbon copies of each other. I think that it would work out for the Chiefs.

1st; Glad you are not on the HOF selection committee as Marino would not have been inducted.

2nd; Vermeil did win a Super Bowl - Rams 99. He is respected and popular.

If Vermeil hadn't retired from the Rams, they would have beaten the Patriots in that second Superbowl year. Vermeil wouldn't have been stupid enough to abandon the run with the NFL's best running back during the game (the way Martz did).

Thanks for getting my back on that one BA. I must have remembered to pay my DWO dues this quarter.
