    Phil Jackson mocked teams that rely on the 3-pointer. Charles Barkley said jump-shooting teams like the Warriors can't win the title, and dismissed all the advanced analytics that said the Warriors were supreme. Fans called Golden State soft and questioned whether that style could win in the playoffs.

    The Golden State Warriors became NBA champions Tuesday night, defeating LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-2 to secure their first title in 40 years. It stands not only as an unbelievable accomplishment year over year for a team and an incredible moment for one of the league's best fanbases, but it also offers a referendum on conservative, out-dated thinking about the league.

    The Warriors are an analytics-focused, biometrics-factoring, fast-paced, run-and-gun, 3-point-volume, chuck-em-up, outside-in constructed team. In basketball terms, they are the equivalent of ultra-liberals.
