Probable Starting Lineups:
[IMG] [IMG] Steve Blake/Chauncey Billups
[IMG] [IMG] Larry Hughes/Richard Hamilton
[IMG] [IMG] Jared Jeffries/Tayshaun Prince
[IMG] [IMG] Kwame Brown/Ben Wallace
[IMG] [IMG] Mehmet Okur/Brendan Haywood
*Chauncey Billups has the advantage because he is a scorer, Steve Blake is coming a long well but is not even close to Chauncey
*Rip Hamilton and Larry Hughes are about equal to each other
*Tayshaun Prince is better than Jared Jeffries, he should take advantage of that
*Ben Wallace is more powerful than Kwame Brown, and plays better D
*Okur is better in all aspects of the game than Brendan Haywood

Sixth Men:

Notes:
<u>Was-</u> With Gilbert Arenas out -- perhaps for months -- it seems as if everybody forgot that Jerry Stackhouse is supposed to be back soon.

<u>Det-</u>All of a sudden they've become this team that is shutting everybody down. That obtrusive banging you hear is Big Ben.

SG Jerry Stackhouse Knee IL
PG Chris Whitney Ankle IL

SG Lindsey Hunter Knee IL

=================================
Key Matchups:
[IMG] [IMG]
<ul>
[*]These two players play are like the same player, both average about 20 a game and can go hot or cold from the field, both will need big games
[IMG] [IMG]
<ul>
[*]Kwame has been playing the best basketball of his young career lately, and will need to play consistent again, Ben Wallace needs to stop him because Ben isnt as fast, Kwame gets to the line a lot and could do that in this game
==============================
The "X" Factor:
<u>Was-</u> Kwame Brown and Larry Hughes have carried the load offensively the last 7 or 8 games, can they get some help tonight?

<u>Det-</u> Can Detroit come out and play hard in this game, or will they sleep on Washington?
=============================
Keys to The Game:
<u>Was-</u>
<ul>
[*]Keep Big Ben off the glass.
[*]Keep Billups in check
[*]Match Richard Hamilton (Larry)
<u>Det-</u>
<ul>
[*]Don't Sleep on the Wizards
[*]Big Ben needs to hit the glass
[*]PLay at their own pace
==============================
Prediction:
This game could be really boring or really exciting, depends on if the Pistons sleep and/or the Wizards come to play...I take Detroit by 7-10

P.S. Can someone post the Recap/Box Score? I will be out all weekend, I will not be able to do the Clipper previews either.

Rip Hamilton back in Washington. He'll light them up, and really who is gonna stop him? Pistons win big, but the game will be very low scoring.

One thing that we should keep an eye out for,Will Kwame play tough,that won't back down from Wallace or will he get scared of big Ben and ask to be subbed out? May sound strange but I certainly wouldn't put it past him.

I dont think he will get scared, and plus the Wizards are on a shortage of big men and i think he is finding things a little easier if he slows donw, but that is a great question, i think he stands his ground

And another thing, Etan Thomas if you ever read this, the only shots you should take are put backs and dunks, he aired 2 easy hookshots last night, he shoots when he has 3 guys on him, he never looks to pass once he gets the ball int he post.

Great preview MVP, very detailed. I too agree, Wizards cannot hope to contain, let alone contend with the Wizards. As for performances, I can't really surmise any but I assume that Detroit will win by at least 11 points, a double digit victory. Good luck to both teams, kudos to the Wizards if they can beat this team.

To see the Piston's preview, go here

Unless the Pistons fall asleep during the game, they should win this one. Should be a double digit loss for the Wizards. I'm trying to be conservative too. I don't like predicting 20 points blowouts.

TrailBlazer, have you seen the amount of points the Pistons have been putting up recently? Why do you think it will be a low scoring game? Should only be low scoring for one of the teams. [IMG]

Kwame was about the only Wizard who played well, I saw the last 10 minutes when they put in Darko, I wanted to see him score, but Kwame blocked on of his shots, he missed another, he had some nice passes though.
