Four years ago he used xenophobia and the fear of illegal immigrants as well as the hatred of the establishment to get elected. Now he's falling back to good old blind patriotism and hatred from both sides to play people off each other. I feel like I'm sitting here taking crazy pills watching this happen. Last night both sides were waiting on baited breath so that they could play the victim after it was announced who was shot and killed downtown. It was shameful. And then to see the flip flopping from both sides about whether the shooting was justified. I'm completely disgusted at our country right now. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with what that man stood for, you should be completely alarmed at the dehumanization that has been going on for both sides. There were people who were cheering his death. Cheering the death of the Nazi. The death of the fascist. If that doesn't scare you, you need to take a closer look at what's happening. Trump and the news are playing us against each other. They are widening the divide every single day. On one side we have the socialist anarchists who want to destroy this glorious country. And on the other side we have the Nazi racist fascists who want to kill anyone who isn't white. I can almost guarantee you that most of the people on both sides do not fall into any of those categories, but that is what we are being sold and people are eating it up. It's falling right into Trumps hands. The vast majority of the states that we need to win in order to get rid of him are still in that "god bless America" category. People who have been told from birth that America is the greatest country in the world. And now they're being told that the evil ANTIFA/BLM socialist anarchists are out here burning cities. That they want to tear down our country. So of course you have the same people who volunteer for the military because to die for your country is an honorable thing, are now standing up to come out and fight the evil anarchists. How is this not completely obvious? People are getting played like a piano, and this is the only way Trump is going to win. If he convinces the rest of the country that the liberals are out of control and that they are allowing these anarchists to destroy their cities. But when the other side cheers the death of an unarmed person, guess what that gives him? Ammunition. I never in a million years thought Trump could do as much damage as he has done in four years to the fabric of our society, but here we are. And we are staring down the barrel of another four years.

Not a chance in hell. Zero chance of him winning even with the Electoral College tilted his way. Nope, no prayer of a chance.In fact, it's gonna be a slaughter at the polls, somewhat closer in the Electoral College but still a loss there.
Lanny its this mindset that makes me feel like we will go into chaos at election time. There IS a chance he will win and people so firm as yourself that he wont, are going to have to deal with it. Problem is with this mindset i dont think that will be possible and many with this mindset will simply go crazy. im one of those that may vote for Trump becUse of how vile and fascist anti trumpers are. Ive told them for years keep doing what your doing and you will push middle of the road voters to vote rep. Instead of taking heed people just continue the hatred with little constructive agendas. This hatred some have is pushing aLot of voters towards him. i warned of this a couple years ago and this forum laughed at me or got all vitriol with me. if the dems continue their campaign slogan of Trump is bad, while letting fascism take over the downtown streets, it wont win voters over. It will push them to the other side.
I see no chance. Never in the history of polling has one candidate been so far ahead in so many categories. It's gonna be a slaughter in total vote count. The slaughter will be so complete that the Electoral College vote won't even be close although it will be closer than the popular vote. I've witnessed 13 Presidential elections and I've never seen one with one candidate this far ahead of the other and it's not likely to happen again for a long long long time.
I am afraid of the same, but I have gone to the Oceanside harbor for the first time in a while and noticed a very different scene than 2016. Oceanside is a conservative, military city in San Diego county - which is a lot more conservative than most of CA. The harbor / marine is basically the somewhat well to do, conservative, older yacht owning people. In 2016 - there was nothing but Trump flags on anything. This time, it was 1/2 and 1/2 Biden / Trump. Using the Oceanside harbor polling method - if Biden splits the vote of the conservative marine boat owner - Trump is going to lose big.
Trump is going to win because of the narrative the last few years from non republicans is, dont vote for him he is bad. And then ostracizing anyone that disagrees with that statement being a solidifier in who they vote for. I made a thread a year or two ago asking to please talk me into voting dem without mentioning Trump. Not only couldn't 90% of the forum do that but some of the responses were, If I don't know why I shouldn't vote for Trump then im part of the problem.... Some of you here have been completely deaf to the desires of voters on the fence. Painting them as idiots for not having the same stance and position. Rather than trying to sell them on a dem future. I said two years ago if that kept up, the dems will lose their middle of the road/ undecided voters. and two years later nothing has changed.... If Trump wins, some of you anti trumpers have no one to blame but yourselves.
