As much as we bemoan losses to Newcastle United and the like, fixtures against top of the table rivals are the most important. Last season we were undone by late losses to ManU and Chelsea. If we have any title aspirations this year these are games we need to pick up points in. United haven't lost yet this season but have several draws. Time to pop the cherry.

I'm confident we'll get a win this match. We need Theo to start to counteract the inevitable Ji-Sung Park.

You think you've got it bad?

It's on 6:30AM Tuesday here, which means I'll have to record it, try to avoid the result, and watch it Tuesday night after work.

I'll be around for it. Gotta watch it online though. I'm thinking I might keep the kids home from school to watch it. Have they sold United to any East Asian dictators yet?

Is the most prolonged run of subpar Chelsea play in like five years? I approve.

Tex may start in-goal tonight which will be a shock debut for the 20-year-old Polish stopper. Fabianski may possibly be injured. This excites me.

Revised post from the injury thread:

For Fabregas, he was subbed off during the 2-0 loss to Braga with a reoccurring hamstring problem. Wenger will be making a late late decision before the United game.

Djourou has been declared fit for the United match which will be a good boost for us. He will probably feature on the bench though.

Almunia & Diaby have both been ruled out for the United match but should be available in the near future. Gibbs picked up another injury against Belgrade. He landed awkwardly on his ankle and is expected to return in roughly two-weeks.

Vermaelen, Frimpong and Ramsey are all unavailable.

^ Still dont think I've laughed that hard during a match before.^

Only other time maybe was during a Timbers game, the opposing coach was thrown out, and he went up and sit in the Timbers Army supporters section.

Those Manure cvnts, I despise them so much, hate losing to them. We are actually so easy to play for them cause we like to play our "beautiful football" and that leaves gaps on our defense whch they often exploit easily with their wingers, so if we play like that, all I can expect is a nice smashing at the old toilet. Clichy is a liability in big games, constantly getting skinned by top wingers like Nani or Park. I just hope we grind out a 1-0 or a draw.
