If he’s already healed, play him.

Can't they do an MRI to confirm tear looks healed then slowly make sure he ramps up activity with complete stability/etc? Should be a very standard process to safely have him return to play.

I mean of course they should be cautious, but maybe he has been ramping up for a while and bringing him back now isn't early at all.

I don't see how anyone of us here would know.

It certainly was concerning the staff decided he required a brace but sent him back into play the same day he partially tore the ligament so I'm by no means saying that he is for sure properly cleared.

I’m worried he’s going to tear it even worse and be done for a year

Even a severe tear of the MCL only takes 2-3 months to recover

I mean theres always going to be a risk of injury, even more so for a freakishly tall NBA player. We have to eventually accept some risk.

As long as its not a heightened risk from coming back to soon then we should send him out to play.

I think it's a lack of fluoride in the water. Based on absolutely nothing.

It's literally one of the only major differences between Portland and every other NBA city.

"Draft another great center," says Lucy as she holds the football for Charlie Brown. "It *has* to work out this time!"

I think you meant to say "Great?" We've already drafted one great center in the last 54 years.

I think it's a lack of sunshine. Lower vitamin D and weakened immune system.

Probably why Bill Walton was so injury prone in La Mesa, California and UCLA and Oden "needed" microfracture as soon as he landed in Portland.

Not to mention Bowie's injuries in Pennsylvania and Kentucky.

The simple fact of being associated with Portland leached the vitamin D from Arvydas Sabonis's bones from across the ocean.
