You ask and you shall receive. I believe it is unless NYC says no, and im sure they have given all teams the green light to make contact. With that said, I should clarify myself. He said CJ has been ballin' with him daily and Dame has been texting him almost daily. He didn't say they were reporting back to NO, but, you know... that common sense thing. Im sure he is the mastermind of it all. So he said that Pritchard straight up has it in for Portland. He looked at everyone and said, "come on, you tell me.. 3- 1st round picks, any starter than Dam/CJ/Nurk and one more bench role player of their choice? Who wouldn't take that over what he took? He has it in for us." When asked about the roster battle coming up this year between Swanigan and Vonleh, He also said matter of factly, which brought mixed emotions because I like Vonleh, but I also want one of these new picks to be a solid contributor. But he said matter of factly that Swanigan is already better than Vonleh. He simply left it at that. I think that was a huge tell that Vonleh will be a body in any decent sized trade coming up. He also said that it is no secret that Portland cant sign free agent stars and the key to continuing to improve this team for the duration is through the draft and trades. They are also on the hunt for the next under the radar guy about to break out. He said he understand some fans concerns about the payroll, but reiterated that this is a fluid and long process and things can be much different by the trade deadline next year. Overall, it felt like a different side of NO than we get in the interviews and media. He seemed open and real and honest. Not that car salesman type of speaker. Also. Very few can look good in pink and he does it well.
Yeah. Can you provide some background here, please? I'm buried in the HCP threads, so I have no idea what is going on around here.
LOVE Swanigan, But NO WAY is he better than Vonleh at this point. Play against some actual pro's first please.
I'd have liked to see Noah play in summer league. Just see if he can dominate competition at that level. He's show flashes of being a pretty good player. Toward the end of the year, he seemed to embrace the garbage man role. He was really unimpressive his first year here though. Swanigan is a better rebounder and shooter, but Noah is a lot more athletic. Noah seems like he should develop a good jumper...but he just hasn't shot well in games so far.
It's obvious that this was pillow talk between Olshey and @Orion Bailey. NO: "Talk dirty to me." OB: "You paid Meyers $40 million."
Noah is a superior athlete and more talented and gifted than Swanigan but it doesn't matter because mentally (both in bball IQ and toughness) there's no comparison. Swanigan just sees and understands the game better. If you though Vonleh looked good next to Nurkic, wait until Swanigan gets his chance.
Practice facility. Through Wells Fargo, through My bosses Corporate account invitation. I don't even know where to go with this you left yourself so wide open. Ill just leave you withe the same thought I had when I read this... BG's head is buried so far up HCP's ass, he has no idea what is going on around here...
Yeah, um, ok dude. If that's your take, you should take some time. I was poking fun at HCP, but you're pretty wrapped up in it and uber-sensi. But yeah, if that's how it is.... Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! I thought we wuz coupe de la. But what the fuck ever. I started my teenage insecurities 2 decades ago.
I'm guessing that he is trying to light a fire under Vonleh's ass, and my take is that Vonleh needs that. I still think he will trade Vonleh some time in the next year; but he might as well get some value back.
