QUOTE

Arsene Wenger is to be given a transfer war chest of £70million after Arsenal revealed themselves to be Britain's richest club. Figures publicised on Monday showed The Gunners' turnover for the last financial year to be more than £200million. With operating profits also up 274 per cent to £51.2million, Wenger is expected to benefit from the club's strong financial position. The Arsenal boss did not use his entire budget during the summer transfer window, and managing director Keith Edelman claims he now has considerable funds available to reinforce his squad.

Story off skysports. Of the top 4, Arsenal has spent the least on the transfer wire... I think they have sold for value more than any other of the top 4. Now giving Wegner 70 million pounds? Could be huge. Personally I think getting a solid goalie is their only marginal need right now. Then some depth as we have seen what happened last year.

Thats what Wenger has been doing. Only spending what he needs. For example he got offered Adriano but didn't take it. If i were him i'd get a very high profile player like Kaka. Probably not going to happen but hey one can dream of probably the two best CM's in the world linking up can't they.

He will probably get a word-class striker... Eto'o perhaps? Ibra?

As right as you are what if the Arsenal board decide to Re-inject the unspent £70,000,000 into the club then it is a waste of money.

Also MainEvent as class as those players are i can't see Wenger touching his Strikers with 3 world class ones already there. I think he should get a long term replacement for Gilberto. Maybe Kaka then they can play more Attacking but that is a long shot and a more realistic CM buy for Wenger would be a younger player. Maybe Raul Garcia or another fellow Spainyard to accompany Fabregas as he really is our Golden Boy this season and will hold the whole team together for a long time.
