This is what an Episcopal bishop was talking about today on the PBS News Hour: “As faith leaders who serve at Washington National Cathedral – the sacred space where America gathers at moments of national significance – we feel compelled to ask: After two years of President Trump’s words and actions, when will Americans have enough?” https://www.episcopalnewsservice.or...-criticism-of-trump-resonates-across-america/
From a pompous Turd (maybe a pedo?) who pretends to be a believer and profits nicely for doing nothing.
wow, just like your president. Make up false claims to disparage someone's opinion. Answer me this maris. Why do 80% (or more) news sources report so much negativity regarding trump. Are the 80% wrong and the meager 20% right? lol. Majority of people want this clown out of office.
And there it is! A prime example of why PBS should be stripped of all public funding. The Slander Hour has no place at the public trough.
Really? So anyone who receives federal funding shouldn't be allowed to say or report anything negative about the president?!? That's so snowflakey.
It really makes zero sense to fund and organization that slanders the duly elected President, as part of it's shtick, just like most of S2 gang or CNN.
I don't think the episcopal church is funded by the government. Although it is tax-free, maybe you'd be in favor of removing that, since their representative criticized the president? barfo
Personally speaking, I basically agreed with what was said, but tend to think the Church for the most part shouldn’t talk politics all that much. To be fair though it sounds like its rare for this particular group to make political statements.
I grew up in the Episcopal church dating back to the 40s and I can tell you that we never had a priest talk politics for decades and one of our priests was actually a bishop. Now, contrast that with the fact that we've never had an ignorant, lying, cheating, stealing gangster President like Trump before that is ruining the lives of Millions if not Billions. I truly believe that Trump is a disciple of the Devil, pure evil.
Not sure I fully understand what you are saying but religion has been a factor in political decisions for a very long time.
It was a couple of months ago, but I never implied that religion or lack thereof, didn't play a part in political decisions, of course, they do we can't escape our own values when we vote and it doesn't matter if you're very religious or not an atheist or whatever your worldview affects votes and the common worldviews of a region will inevitably have it affects on politics and government. My thinking though it's not really the place of the church to make political statements, I realize that it's probably inevitable.
Usually the Episcopal church stays out of politics but Trump is so out of bounds that I think they were compelled to say something. Yep, Trump is so evil that they were compelled.
