Would you trade him? Am I the only one who thinks his value can't be higher than it is now?

Reminds me of Thon Maker a bit.

I'm probably the only one who thinks everyone is too high on him. Although I'd love to see how he'd perform in a non-Stottsian system.

I say we should trade every player when their trade value couldn't be higher and this includes LeBron James. Yep, trade James now.

I'm there with you. Announcers are gushing about him every game but the production isn't there. He's obviously gonna get better, but how much more? Is his ceiling at an all star level? I wonder if we can throw him/Caleb/our pick this year in a package for a guy who can produce now.

I would only trade ZC is if he brought back top notch talent like Anthony Davis type player.

Okay, let's do that. I'm sure NOP would do that.

I could see him going either way at this point so I'm not really sold yet either. I think he has a ceiling as a good starter but not a real star. Stotts' game plan of having his tallest player shoot six 3's per game probably won't help him realize it, either.

Production isn't there? He's a rookie big man. Feel for the game and natural ability is more important than numbers at this point.

True. And everyone is raving about his feel. But can he become a go-to player for us in three years? Because I think we might be at a stage when his perceived value is > than what he will ever become for us.

My motivation for this thread is not because I think Zach is under-performing, moreso that his value might be as high as it will ever be.

Zach is nowhere near his peak trade value. I would expect next year to be a real growth year for him. The biggest problem you have with trading him is that he is the only player on the team who can hang with stretch fours, provide defense at the rim and hit the three. Trading him would create another hole.

Having said that, if you could get a transformative talent in return then you might consider it. But not because his value won't be higher.

I'd only trade him for an all-star level two way player that perfectly complimented the roster. Otherwise I'd rather keep him and see what he becomes in 2-3 years.

If this is as high as his trade value will ever be, that's really sad. I don't think it is. But if it is, I still wouldn't trade him right now because I don't see his trade value being high enough to replace him with someone better.

I think he is perfect for SA. I would include him and our 1st along with their choice of ET or Harkless
    for Kawhi.

Would SA laugh? Maybe but other than for a really good player, I would keep him. He has huge potential and I think Pop knows that.

I get that he's a rookie, and occasionally shows great skill, but Jesus, people????? Anthony Davis? 2 way all star?

What do you think his trade value is? Should we only be shopping him for players with similar stats?
