Stranded here in Denver for a couple of hours on a layover to ATL. Thought I'd bang out a few remarks. First of all, thanks to all who were able to attend Thursdays M & G event. That was a WHOLE lot of fun and way more exceeded my anticipatations/expectations. What a great time meeting KP & Co., along with all of you very fine folks. We have a class bunch of "message boarders." I was able to spend a few minutes with Kevin as he was departing Hayden's and relayed on behalf of the entire group how appreciatative and blown away we all were. As expected, he was entirely gracious and said he would be more that happy to do such again. If none of you take him up on that offer (via the Blazers' Jim Taylor) , I certainly will next summer. Next time, though, I'd plan it in the conference room. When making resers with Hayden's, I was expecting a sterile and reasonably boring conference room. Little did I know that they have large windows overlooking the lake/pond. That would have been very cool to meet in there. As well, I do appreciate all the kind words that were sent my way. But, really, as related on Blazers Edge, it was simply a matter of a number of e-mails coupled with a bit of persistence (yes, this event took around 6 months in the making.) This won't be a breakdown thread by me. That's all been plenty captured. Simply, a thanks again and great time meeting you guys then tossing a couple of cold ones. I miss Portland very, very much. So much, in fact, that I may be returning there in the next one to two years. Here's hoping. Blessings, tim PS: Oh, yes, my obligatory pic.
That is pretty cool you did that. So what particular dept were you emailing to make this happen? I need to start bugging the Lakers!
ABM, WTF? Why didn't you e-mail me beforehand? I would have driven out to DIA and bought you a drink!
