Kieff Morris JaMychal Green Anthony Tolliver Jonas Jerebko Noah Vonleh those are a few i can think of that might go for the minimum, of course some more likely than others. Kieff, Green or Vonleh would be ok I believe.
Certainly someone Neil has considered/like before and once a player gets into his mind, he seems to bird dog them for years.
With 40% of the league in FA this year, a couple of them might not have a choice. But could take a while for all the cap spade around the league to fill up.
I’d be surprised if any of them had to settle for the minimum. More realistic targets are Kaminsky, Jonas Jerebko, maybe Wilson Chandler.
Worth remembering Dame gushing about Skal last year... At some point, continued development of a talent like him might be more important than a 9th or 10th man... There will always be trades or cuts at the deadline that we could take advantage of (see: Kanter) for the playoffs... Barring injury, improving our backup PF might net us one or two more regular season wins???
Our kids went to school together (his daughter, Jaya, is the tattoo over his Adam's apple, which still freaks me out). Wilson and his wife Erica were always asking me about Portland. They like the small town, laid back lifestyle. I think if he had his druthers, he'd love to be in PDX. However, he's quite expensive. Probably too much even in a trade.
I agree with this. Skal is an exciting talent that I'm very interested in seeing play. I'd rather just roll with him than add another.
