Curry, Klay, Durant, Paul, Westbrook, Harden, Aldridge, Cousins, Davis, Butler, Green, and now that I look at it, Dame. Whom I missing? Jokic? Towns? PG13? CJ?
It's gonna be PG13 or Butler or Towns. Curry Harden Durant Davis Green Klay Russ Cousins George Butler Towns Aldridge I don't think Dame has a chance in hell of making that team. There are so many guards ahead of him. Curry Harden Westbrook Klay Paul Butler He's fucked. We're only 7th in the west. No chance in hell.
I feel bad for Dame. He's playing during a time in a conference where his position is just straight up stacked. The only way he makes an All-Star team relies heavily on how the team does. Either that or he would have to put up godly numbers. Triple double numbers.
Saw something on Reddit.... "People sleeping on Dame" "At this point he's part mattress" Couldn't have put it better myself. Diego Valeri gets better ink and he's in the MLS. The Fuck You Tour gets old if there isn't a happy ending at some point. His brand will suffer as he gets older.
He has deserved the last couple all star selections and acts like he doesn’t care and at this point I would agree with him because it’s a popularity contest but at the same time at the end of his career it will matter to people in talking about players and pg’s of this time.
Maybe the only way he gets to play on an all star team is if he is traded to an Eastern conference team that sucks and he is the man.
Lillard is All Star caliber playing at a time when there are a lot of All Star caliber guards, a number of whom happen to be better than him. He's not being snubbed, he's the victim of a numbers game.
Klay making it over Dame again. God, what a disaster. But I think Dame has more stiff competition from Lou Williams, who has had an insane past month.
In 2016: Pre all star: 24/7/4 on 42% FG, 36% 3pt Post all star: 26/6/4 on 42%, 40% 3pt In 2017: Pre all star: 26/6/5 on 43% FG, 35% from 3 Post all star: 30/6/5 on 47% FG, 41% from 3 So far, in 2018: Pre all star: 25/7/5 on 43% FG, and 35% from 3 and MUCH improved defense. Biggest jump after the break seems to be from his increased 3pt% but yes, the Fuck You Tour is absolutely real. These numbers are staggering and it's unbelievable that he doesn't get the AS nod. (also, Dame is like the model of consistency)
Dame is better than Klay, Paul, and Butler in terms of what they bring to their team. And those three are very good. Would you trade Dame for any of those three? Of course not.
