I watched the dunk contest today and I do think that Dwight should have been this year's Slam Dunk champ again. Sure, I do admit his dunks this year weren't as great as last years but comparing his dunks to those of Nate, I seriously think that Dwight did better dunks. And a lot of original dunks at that...by himself!

Nevertheless, Congratulations Nate and I really do hope Dwight still competes next year along with King James!!! Now that would really be a highlight.

Dwight didn't deserve to win. It should have been Nate vs Rudy finals

Rudy sucked so bad, 50% of the league could have done better in the dunk contest. Not sure why the fans voted him in? lol

But yeah I agree Dwight was better, and I think it should have been a tie, both get the trophy. ;)

Rudy's dunks were good, but they weren't as fun to watch as Dwight's

He had a lot of failed attempts, and he really doesn't have much hops. He doesn't hang in the air like Dwight did.

    Dwight all the way!

Joe Alexander should of been in the dunk contest.

Dahntey Jones too, but that's another story. J.R. Smith let me down, a lot. Nate won and he had some great dunks. Kudos to him.

Come on. Rudy in the Finals? Sure a lot of why his score was low was because of Pau's poor passing but still those dunks he did weren't good enough to get him to the Finals. Dwight on the other hand was at the same time entertaining and amazing.

In my opinion, I've already seen to much of Nate and I had hoped that someone new had joined the competition. Nate can jump and dunk but he is a bit limited with his dunk choices due to his height.

OffT: Too much windmills going on in the dunk contest this year.

Same here man, being a Nuggets fan I wished that he had done better than that. Maybe if he picked Billups to assist him instead of Sonny Weems :D

Dwight was the worst of the 4. His first and third dunks were decent, but the phone booth and foul line dunks were lame. Nate over Dwight was the best of the night, Rudy's 2nd dunk was the second best.

Dwight's dunk were not even descent. His first dunk was a horrible attempt to copy Carter's out of bounds 360 windmill. The one where he dunked on the 11ft rim was not even close to good. He's almost 7ft tall not too hard for him. The only good dunk he had was where he threw the ball from the side of the backboard.

Dwight wasn't inventive enough imo this year.

I think he would have won if he landed the free throw line dunk, but he took a step inside, which ruined it. So Nate deservedly won.

i thought Nate deserved it but Dwight's 12 foot dunk was good imo. I thought Rudy's second dunk was better than JR Smith's 2nd but he only managed to score one point higher like wtf

There was no way that was 12 foot. That rim looked only a foot above the other hoop. I'd imagine it was an 11 foot dunk.

    D-League Dunk Contest > NBA.

D-League had James White and Sonny Weems. James White is the best dunker I have ever seen. No joke.

Dwight Howard has the most embarrassing moments in the All-Star game.

    1. Agreeing to being dunked on by Nate Robinson, which ended up costing him the Slam Dunk contest
    2. Shaq and Paul clowning him on the bounce pass b/t his legs
    3. Trying to cross-over Kobe Bryant and watching the ball sail into the announcing table

Nate had 1 good dunk (jumping over Howard). The rest absolutely sucked or had been done before. Jumping off his teammates back was the lamest moment I've witnessed during any All Star Weekend.

It should have been Rudy and Howard in the finals with impartial judges. That would have been interesting.

It was better when Gerald Green did it. Green did the same dunk except he added a windmill.

It was pretty damn lame. That one probably should replace Michael Finley's cart-wheel dunk for worst all time.

As long as Nate is in a dunk contest, he'll make the Finals because he is so fucking short.

Nate and Dwight sucked this year, at least they have the balls to do it though.
