They look like a better team than last year. Dame looks better. ET looks better. Nurk looks better. Collins looks better. Jake looks better. Will we be better when it matters? I want someone to convince me we won't get swept this time. Thoughts?

Well it's hard to get swept in a seven game series so if your only criteria for being better is to win a game in the playoffs I'd say that is almost a certainty.

If you are talking about winning a series then that is almost impossible to predict in November.

So hard we've done it twice in a row. I hope you're right about winning a game. I'd love to draw a team like OKC in the first round. Or a scrappy young team like the Kings. Dame would destroy them.

I think so and think they will win the first round.

Maybe just make sure they make the playoffs and get a decent seed first?

Depends on matchups and injuries. Blazers are a better team than last year, for reasons you listed plus our bench. Some other teams might be better too. I expect them to be better in the playoffs, yes. But a lot can happen between now and then.

One game at a time, bro

I know the history but all it takes is a bounce or two our way and we win a couple games in the Pelicans series and should've won game 3 against the Warriors.

I think winning just one game is still a failure though.

Exactly. The Blazers had 3 bad match ups last year. Warriors, Rockets and Pelicans. I would still say that the Pelicans and Warriors are bad matchups for us.
