Well the hope of landing Chandler with the TPE is no longer. They are trading him to Philly along with draft consideration. I wonder if they Blazers had gotten into the discussions. Adrian Wojnarowski Denver has traded Wilson Chandler and a draft consideration to the 76ers, league sources tell ESPN. Chandler will be absorbed into the Sixers space.
what is there to discuss? the blazers could have said you can give him to us without any picks attached. done.deal.
Philly picked up Chandler AND Draft considerations? What in the HELL is Olshey doing? Is someone valeting him around in a cell signal free zone?
You're his valet driver and just don't want to admit it. Don't blame you....I wouldn't admit it either.
Let's see some action right now, this week!! All year long, Olshey defenders say, be patient and wait for Free Agent Week. If Olshey would make trades throughout the year like wheeler-dealer Bob Whitsitt, he wouldn't put such pressure on himself to perform in this one week per year. "Tradeless" is a 1-dimensional player (spending Allen's money) who's an amateur at his one dimension.
If we did it as just to gain the asset, sure. But I think Chandler is a solid addition as is, so getting paid to get a contributor would be worth it, IMO.
Agreed. 2nd round pick....not a big deal, but Chandler might be the best SF on our roster. Also, there is no Lux Tax hit till the end of the year and they have time between now and then to move other pieces to get back under the line.
My opinion of Chandler is clouded by him not scoring while playing 40 mins into their must win game last night of the season
