The New York Giants may be the most optimistic 0-3 team in NFL history. Three days removed from one of their worst drubbings in recent memory, the Giants returned to work Wednesday talking like a team that still fancies itself a Super Bowl contender. The day began with Tom Coughlin's weekly news conference, and the head coach sounded upbeat, despite his team's predicament, and the fact that he had just attended his brother's funeral the day before. When asked if he feels the Giants' season is on the line next Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, Coughlin answered, "No, I think it's a long season. We've played three games, we have a lot of games to go." Read more http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/9723117/new-york-giants-confident-0-3-record
False bravado. This team has already quit, and should have been overhauled after last season, when they also quit down the stretch. They said the same stuff last year, and then showed up in coffins for games. Poor coaching, poor schemes, poor play-calling, too many holes on both sides of the ball, etc.
Yeah I mean the fact of the matter is an 0-4 is a disaster. 8-4 the rest of the way which is solid only gets you a .500 record.
FROM PRE SEASON, everybody..... from management to the water boys..... has been yapping how confident they are! Football Egos.....what hogwash. This team is a bonafide last place team.....in a bad division.
They suck. Eli knows it. JPP knows it. Deep down Rolle knows it. I'll say it again. Four players I believe they can get picks for are Nicks, Rolle, Joseph and Tuck. I still believe Tuck on a good team can make plays. I think GM's think that also.
I've been pushing for deals since they were 0-2, and made it clear they didn't have the team to compete. I think the following deals make sense: Nicks to New England for a 2 Rolle to Miami for a 2 Joseph to Atlanta for a 3 Tuck to Denver for a 3 Kiwi to Indy for a 4 Jenkins to New Orleans for a 4
Neither do I hammer - I don't think any of them get made, meaning the Giants will be no different than the Yankees - they will not recognize that they don't have a team to compete this year, yet are too ignorant to admit it, and won't take advantage of selling off some useful pieces.
