The Minnesota Timberwolves insist they are not trying to trade point guard Ricky Rubio, who is entering the first season of his four-year, $55 million-plus contract extension. "We're not talking to anybody about trading Ricky," Timberwolves general manager Milt Newton told the Associated Press' Jon Krawczynski. The reason Newton was asked about this: The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn reported in August that Minnesota appears "to be growing impatient" with Rubio, and then Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher reported in September that the team "tested the trade waters" and don't see him as its point guard of the future anymore. Rubio turns 25 years old later this month and said in June that he's excited about the team and thinks about making the playoffs every day. - See more at:http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on...ot-talking-to-anybody-about-ricky-rubio-trade
