Jason Richardson looks lost in Charlotte with Larry Brown coaching. I don't think he digs Brown's "tough love" to coaching. He was clearly frustrated in the Laker preseason games. The Bobcats are rumored to be selling the team and Larry Brown wants a roster overhaul. Larry wants to basically un-do everything Jordan had his hands on since Jordan has been MIA from his duties with the franchise. If JRich is put on the trading block would you want him back?
i loved j-rich...i haven't been more upset to see another warrior player leave the team. if we could get him for cheap, sure i'd take him back, but he's not what we need at this point exactly.
We now have Maggette who is basically just like Ricahrdson, imo. I would like to have him back, but I don't know who we could trade for him at the moment.
Love JRich, but at his current salary no way. As mentioned we are set at SG with SJax and Azubuike, not to mention Monta who I still think will be a much better SG than PG. Unless JRich suddenly learns some mad PG skill, then no thanks.
My first reaction to this was "hell yes" but now that I think about it I wouldn't really want him back unless it cost us nothing. Keep in mind that when he played under Nellie he was a glorified role playing 3 pt specialist. Good point by Legacy as well that we just signed Mags who is far more efficient than J-Rich and at a lower price. Where would he fit between Mags and Jack? Azu seems to have come into his own as well this pre-season and Beli could be earning some PT. It'd be fun to have JR back but I just don't see where he fits. Mags just got a big contract and Jack is probably getting an extension soon. As much as I love JR I think Mags and Jack are probably better for the team anyway. JR just doesn't have the penetration, ball handling, defensive ability, etc. that Nellie wants from his guards.
I'd want Jrich back most definitely, but he'd have to replace Azu. Our budget won't fit everyone we want to bring back. Jrich was the reason I watched the Warriors. He is just so fun to watch. Heart and soul of the warriors franchise for a long time.
