Wranglers Fall in Bakersfield, 3-1

    The Las Vegas Wranglers® fell to the Bakersfield Condors Friday night at Rabobank Arena. Colin Long netted the only goal for the Wranglers. Tyler Gotto, Joel Broda, and Stephane Goulet all tallied for the Condors. Brian Stewart earned the win between the pipes for Bakersfield as he turned away 30 of the 31 shots he faced and improved his record to 16-4 in his time with the Condors. Michael Ouzas allowed three goals on the 33 shots he faced and slides to 18-16-2 on the season. Las Vegas tallied once with their five power play chances while allowing two goals on their five penalty kills. The win puts the Condors on a ten-game winning streak as they improve to 39-25-3 with 81 total points. The Wranglers slide to 36-26-5 with 77 total points.

    The Wranglers and the Condors started Friday night's game by combing for three straight power play goals. Tyler Gotto netted the lone goal of the first period for Bakersfield at 19:26 while they were on the power play assisted by Stephane Goulet and Joel Broda. The Condors had a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

    The Wranglers answered back in the second period at 2:04 with Colin Long's fourteenth goal of the season assisted by Justin Bernhardt and Blake Gallagher while on the power play. After two periods the game was knotted at one.

    The third period was all Bakersfield as they added two unanswered goals to seal their tenth straight victory. Joel Broda netted his seventeenth goal of the season at 4:31 of the third period while Bakersfield was on the power play assisted by Andrew Ianiero and Adam Naglich. Stephane Goulet added the insurance goal at 17:35 assisted by Adam Naglich and Andrew Ianiero to give Bakersfield the 3-1 win.

    The same two teams battle again tomorrow night at Rabobank Arena. The puck drops at 7:00 PM PST.
