CC Sabathia surrendered five singles, but held Indianapolis scoreless in three innings of work, while the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees offense rallied with four runs over the final two frames and went on to defeat the Indians 6-5 on Saturday, March 26 at the Yankees Complex in Tampa, Fla.

Sabathia (3.0 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO) worked his way out of two different jams by way of a strikeout and double play, while fellow Major Leaguer Russell Martin (2-for-2, 1 R, 1 2B) caught Sabathia for all three innings and added a double and run scored over two at-bats for the Yankees. The Indians also featured a Big Leaguer on the mound as Pittsburgh starter James McDonald (3.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 SO) allowed just on run on four hits over three innings of work.

The offense really picked up over the final four frames as the teams combined to score 10 runs on 10 hits in the contest's final frames. 2010 Indianapolis Indians Rookie of the Year, Alex Presley, got the late scoring started with a sacrifice fly in the sixth, before INF Josh Fields (2-for-3, 1 R, 1 RBI) added an RBI double and INF/OF Jim Negrych (2-for-4, 1 HR, 2 RBI) blasted a two-run a home run to cap the scoring in the seventh. The Yankees evened things up in the eighth on an RBI double by INF Jose Toussen and a two-run two bagger by INF Brandon Laird, before OF Ray Kruml came through with the eventual game-winning two-out single in the ninth.
