In my opinion (imo), this is where the Yankees pay a 2nd price for not having depth of quality starters.

    * German screwed the team.
    * Severino incapable of stepping up for a role he isn't physically ready to fill. But , he's never shown his worth in post Season anyway.

    * CC .... what do I gotta say 'about giving him the 019 one year deal as a SP? A job he couldn't handle. He's washed up and done for. At best he should have been a middle reliever or mop up man, even that much is/was a stretch.

    * Happ, Where in the hell did the 018 (NYY) Version of Happ go.

Regardless- the #4 & #5 SP Hole(s) have been shit all season long!!!

Sure the Asstros are only 3 deep in SP's, and will use their bullpen also, and this is where the Yanx/Trashbin-Trashman failed to one up the Asstros, by failing to secure strong and reasonable number 4 and 5 hole SP's.
It's been as obvious as a hard-on in a pair of Speedos on the beach: Yanx starting rotation was incapable of dominating in and thru an entire season and postseason.

    Coulda shoulda woulda ...

Sure no one could foresee Happ having shit for a year. No one could foresee Herman the German shooting his foot off rather the Yankees foot.

It was very obvious and anybody could see, CC was not fit for the role anymore. It is also very obvious Severino was not ready and was rushed; and was also set back in his rehab earlier this year from being rushed. He wasn't ready to return to a SP role.
Good thing they didn't rush Jordan Montgomery.

Call me old-fashioned, but I do not like the opener concept and I never will. I believe in complete game Pitchers, and would be happy if the SP Staff could average 6 or 7 innings.

I sure as hell will never buy into the concept of using an entire Bullpen to get through game 6. That much is bullshit pure organic bulshit...

    Manifesto complete- Go 4 launch.

German flat out jumped on his pecker wearing track shoes a very dumb fucking move in todays politically correct MLB. He hurt this team even more so then Kevin Brown did in '04 when he (Brown) punched out a wall. Classic examples of lack of self control.

Brett Gardner: another player who many agreed should not have been given an extra tear. Toast he was and down to a 5th or 5th outfielder. So this old dumb dude suddenly got more playing time because the studs like Hicks, Stanton, and Judge were riding the sick books and unable to play. Gardner stepped up huge for this team hitting some timely home runs and making some great defensive catches. Bad arm or not the man flat out saved the Yankees outfield. Were the Yankees to win the World Series Gardner would be the player I'd be most happy for, on the other hand most sorry for if they lose. Gardner, LeMahieu, Urshela, and GT were the best all around cowboys in the '19 Yankee rodeo.

All will come home to roost as pitching has become the joke with this Yankee team who has a
manager not having a clue.......& GM letting this novice manager hanging in the wind!
But who’s complaining....they got to the 6th game of the ALCS.

Atleast they ended the drama early. Game six of the ALCS and we have Chad Green on the mound in the first inning. What a joke. Gurriel was batting .050 in the series.
