    Taillon has pitched well this season, Piney will have to straighten his cap and stay on the mark. last nights highlights on quick pitch this am . Don't know how the rest of you fans feel but my jury id still out on Castro.

    ...Castro is just too damned streaky to suit me, both offensively and defensively. With an already crowded infield if you count the 4-5 SSs we have including the farm, Castro would possibly be a very good trade chip for a starting pitcher or position player at the trade deadline. The general consensus is that Gleyber Torres will be the future SS/3B/2Bman...this means someone has got to go, either Headley or Castro.
    ...I'm not implying that Castro is not a good player, but like you, I've just never had that "warm and fuzzy" feeling about him.

    ditto :::::

    I've seen enough of Castro. Put him on a short leash, and don't wait for his value to plummet. Age 27, the time and price is right, for a quality arm on the mound.
    When Castro came to the Bronx, I wished him the best. After watching him being totally incompetent; never a real threat to steal a base, and he's never put up the w OBP numbers required (>.350+) for a guy that lead the league in AB's, 3 yrs in a row in Chicago. Still not a Jeter like; (or any other great Yankee) player, who will never have a OBP or B'avg, to match any great Yankee. Sub-par at best, fumblefk who will never win a gold glove; a bronze arm or tin glove.... Yeah, the Tinman hath arrived, he's not sterling, only starlin' eg "tin"...

    Yesterday's miscue was perhaps the very reason the Cubs got rid of him, imho...~!~

    His current .409 OBP and b'avg will fall, just like Headcase's B'Avg will fall, tho' I wish it wouldn't.

    Castro will never be worth the 16Mil, 2020 Buyout, so off him while he's still got 10mil of value - or does have even that, maybe not in Pinstripes, when there are to many replacements for a already crowded infield...???

    Time for replacement of today's working parts: ie Sabathia, maybe Pinhead as well. I really hope they don't plan on re-signing Pinhead at all cost. He's been a very costly failure. Even if he has a great year, to hell with him; he's not been worth the price of his contract, and years lost with sub-par performances in years past. What I mean by that is- keep both CC and Pinhead on short leashes, (love that term, it fits, chuckling). If either can perform, win games then keep 'em 'til the end of the year, even then bye bye to both...

    I've given up on Pinhead to straighten out that damn cap. That's just the tip of why this guy makes me uneasy. Can he stay focused?
    Can he get all his pitches to work? Will he ever be consistent? Just to name a few.......not very reliable....... on the mound and....... in my head!

    I hollered at him when we went to the Home Opener, he just walked into the Dugout with his head down. Just got in with an Italian Combo Hero for the Game, hoping I don't get heartburn from watching Pinhead. :lol:

    Timely hits today is the prescription for more runs than Pittsburgh.........if only Pinhead cooperates.

    ...oh, hell no...that's why I said "someone has got to go, either Headley or Castro".

    ...my feelings about signing Headley are no secret and his early 2017 showing is likely just as anomalous as his 2012 season, which Cashman evidently used as the sole barometer to gauge him as a player.

    No hits in the 4th.

    Mr. Inconsistency just got tagged again for another HR. Interesting, the Pirates had the least homeruns in MLB..........
    until they faced the obliging CC & Pinhead.......up to now, 4 HRs in a game and 4 innings! Just great...NOT!

    lol...no worries...me and Annie are at the beach for the weekend and enjoying the jazz festival, pigging out on crab legs, and drinking Patron' margaritas...so I'm a happy guy, even when the Yanx are having problems.
