How do I get optimistic about this team when many players only care about their stats, and most of those
are nothing to brag about! i.e.: Stanton 33 HRs 202 Ks; Sanchez .188 BA .....etc.

They are not playing as a team.

Steinbrenner must have been mellowing in '04. Cashman and Torre should have been fired. Since that time Boston has had three championship teams the Yankees One. The Yankees are on the precipice of a huge choke job. I understand that the Red Sox winning one gam of the upcoming series they clinch the division. One the other hand they have the potential to put a serious dent in the wild card drive. One looks at the lines ups (Yankees) very little confidence knowing how this team has gotten its ass kicked by the allegedly shit teams since July. One man (Judge) is out and yes he is missed but being used by the other players as an excuse. And then of course Boner who spins the failures of this team like a top. Thirteen games remain and though I will watch as many as I can I'm not overly excited about the remainder of the season. We all know about comebacks and low division winners. I'd like to think this team would show some character but there's not much there. Catchers that walk after balls, pitchers who claim they don't know where the team stands. Something is terribly wrong with this club that we have not yet found out.

^^^^^I agree 5545. Something is amiss with players and management. What happened in early July?
The spigot was turned off and its been sputtering ever since.

While the Yankees take on Boston, Oakland hosts the Halos at home.
A's are 6-7 vs Angels, playing in Oak t/A's more than likely will take 2 of 3...

^^^^^Rob, are you as enthusiastic that these Yankees can take 2 of 3 from Boston as you are about the A’s?
I am not. Besides, tomorrow looks like a washout in New York.

Day Game, Yankee Stadium, Tuesday Afternoon. Got me to thinking about my favorite Rock Band the Moody Blues Tuesday afternoon. Hope they can get that game in.

If this team cannot light up Eovaldi, they got problems. Not to steal your thunder 5545,
I’ll probably be singing “Watching and Waiting” and nothing happens! LOL

Yankees did not do well against Eovaldi previously. Former Yankees always come back to haunt this team. Judge being back and playing may be a morale factor but it's going to take a while for him to get back in a groove. If I were at Yankee Stadium tomorrow I'd probably be singing the Moodys song "Nice To Be Here".

April's 3 & 4 game series between t/A's and Halos, saw Oak losing 3/4 at home, and losing 2/3 in Anaheim.

A's quite a different team in t/2nd half-
the last 2 series the A's took 2/3 from t/Halos both in Anaheim and Oakland.

I think the A's will take 2/3 from t/Angels in both the series in Oakland Tues-Thurs, and again should take 2 of 3 in Anaheim to close out the season, a wild guess...

As for the Yanx, the way they're playing, I've got to give the edge to Bosox in both series, in YS and Fenway. I don't expect the Yanx to win more than 1 of 3, both in t/Bronx and in Fenway...

As bad as the Yanx have looked against shit for teams, they will more than likely be fighting for their lives to win the WC.

Yanx have been lucky in several respects. The hot streak earlier in the season, has allowed 'em to sit on their haunches, playing sub-par ball since imo.
If not for that hot streak-
If not for a extremely weak AL Central, with ONE team over .500-
If not for x_______ (fill in the blank(s) x________

One excuse too often pointed out as a crutch, If not for Judge on the DL, ....
Prior it was IF not for Judge, DD, and Sanchez on the DL.
Sanchez more than proved he could of stayed on the DL and the Team would of been just fine....
NTM- most AL contenders have had their share of players on the DL.
Oakland has had 6 Pitchers on this Years DL for most of the 018 Season.

Listening to several Yankee Radio Podcasts during the Oakland series of late, I heard this too often: If not for Judge and Sir DiDi on the DL... not one Yankee Podcasts host would address my input, IF not for t/A's having 6 Pitchers on the DL.... wtf? Judge is Hercules yep, I do believe so; but one man doth not make a team...Nor does one Judge and One Knight- i.e. Sir DD...

From the owners to the GM to a placid manager to the players, there is not one yet to have the
“nuts” to lead on the field or off.
