76ers forward Thaddeus Young is hoping to receive a contract extension from the team before the Nov. 1 deadline. "I would love to be extended," Young said. "Who wouldn't? I love the city. I love the fans. I want to be here. This is the place that drafted me. I want to continue my career here. But I'm just letting my agent (Jim Tanner) take care of everything. Hopefully, it works out." Young is making $2.9 million this season. If he doesn't receive an extension, he'll become a restricted free agent in July. The 76ers and Tanner "have had some discussions," team president Rod Thorn said Thursday.
