If you could construct your own NCAA hoops team from real players, who would you want on your team? Here's the criteria: One big star, one under-the-radar star, one player known more for his defense than his offense, one solid starter from a NON-MAJOR team, and one underclassman (frosh or soph)...who wasn't a Five Star recruit. Go go go! Here's mine: PG Drew Neitzel - 6'0", 185 lb JR (Michigan State - under the radar star) SG Michael Flowers - 6'3", 190 lb JR (Wisconsin - defense) SF Joe Alexander - 6'8", 200 lb SO (West Virginia - underclassman) PF Curtis Sumpter - 6'7", 221 lb SR (Villanova - superstar) C Anthony Tolliver 6'9", 245 lb SR (Creighton - non-major star) Bench G Jerome Randle - 5'9", 150 lb FR (California) G Richard Delk - 6'4", 175 lb SO (Mississippi State) F Tony Boyle - 6'8", 235 lb SO (Southern Illinois) C Greg Steimsma - 6'11", 250 lb JR (Wisconsin) F/C Brian Carlwell - 6'11", 245 lb FR (Illinois) EDIT: I had to swap Vouyoukas for Tolliver. I like his all around game more.

Abrams (Texas - Under-the-Radar) SF - Corey Brewer (Florida - Defense) PF - Nick Fazekas (Nevada - Non-major Star) C - Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina - Superstar) Bench: ? ^^^ Can't really make a better team than that.

And I had to find a way to get Boyle on my list somewhere; he's got a whole bunch of Mike Wilkinson in him.
Some nice teams there, I'll try to top them though PG - Darren Collison 6'0" So. (UCLA - Underclassmen) SG - Trey Johnson 6'5" Sr. (Jackson St. - Non-Major starter) SF - Morris Almond 6'6" Sr. (Rice - Under the radar star) PF - Kevin Durant 6'10" Fr. (Texas - Superstar) C - DeVon Hardin 6'10" Jr. (California - Defense) Bench: G - Nic Wise 5'10" Fr. Arizona G - Tweety Carter 5'10" Fr. Baylor G/F - Matt Bouldin 6'5" Fr. Gonzaga F - Mohamed Tangara 6'9" Jr. Arizona F/C - Ra'Sean Dickey 6'9" Jr. Georgia Tech
PG- Tajuan Porter(Underclassman) SG- Ronald Steele(Under the Radar) SF- Rodney Stuckey(Mid-major) PF- Glen Davis(Super Star) C- Sean Williams(Defense)
Chase Budinger is under the radar? Are you sure about that considering he's a top 10 pick on all the draft sites?

This was hard than I thought... G- Sean Singletary (Virginia- under the radar star) G- Jamon Gordon (Virginia Tech- defense) SF- Caleb Green (Oral Roberts- non-major star) PF- Jon Brockman (Washington- underclassmen) C- Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina- superstar)
I know, it's hard because your trying to think of people but not copy anyone else. I couldn't think of good PF that was a superstar that I wanted so I just used a frosh. Now that I'm done making my team I've thought of many great under the radar players.....Justin Hare-Belmont, Ramon Sessions-Nevada, Blake Ahearn-Missouri St., etc.
Ronald Steele certainly isn't an under the radar star as well. He's always listed as a Top 3 PG in the nation and normally is #1.
G - Ronald Steele (Alabama - Superstar) G - Eric Devendorf (Syracuse - Underclassman) G - Corey Brewer (Florida - Defensive) F - Julian Wright (Kansas - Under the Radar) F - Nick Fazekas (Nevada - Non-major Star) One can argue that Julian Wright isn't really under the radar, but he had his share of struggles during his Freshman season. Plus the whole Kansas team is under the radar, really, being that it is probably their last season.
<div class="quote_poster">C.K. Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> This was pretty tough actually. Ty Lawson isn't really a superstar (just yet), more a player that I would love to build a team around. Anyone on this team can knock down a jump shot, also everyone knows how to share the ball. BTW, is Ty Lawson even starting? I don't really keep up with UNC all that good, but I thought Frasor was their starting PG.

Not a bad team, eh?
