Camara didn't play the final preseason game Thursday. Assume the coaches can use that as an excuse to start Grant and bench Camara.

Grant is our starting power forward folks just accept it. Deni is going to be our bench scorer until Grant is traded and Murray is our backup up. Unless you want sharpe coming off the bench you need to spread out the scoring and ball handling

Coach said he wanted the players to earn their spots in the start lineup. Unfortunately Jerami earned it. Coach needs to keep his word.

I will be flying into MSP on the day of the game. We will not be able to attend the game but if my brother's son gets up to the airport on time we will all be able to watch at my brother's house in Mankato. I'm excited.

Your picture show's PDX at Utah. That was the starting lineup of the preseason game Thursday. Camara sat out.

This is the projected depth chart from ESPN. They are never very accurate at predicting things. But at least they don't have Camara starting at SG anymore. That made little sense to me.

I don't think Sharpe will be our back up PG unless they are only thinking about the defensive end. It will either be Deni or Wesley running the the 2nd unit IMO. Also I would imagine that when Thybulle is healthy enough to play he will play more SG while Murray backs up Camara.

There is also the possibilty that Grant starts over Camara and goes out ealry so he can come back and start the 2nd quarter.

Jrue covering Edwards and Camara covering Randle will be key. They need to keep them from going off while staying out of foul trouble. That won't be easy. That is one reason why I don't mind Camara coming off the bench....no quick fouls. He played great against the Warriors but only 20 minutes due to 5 fouls.

We lose this game by 8……as we should. They are a MUCH more talented team. To be honest, we just need to look ahead to Game 4 against the Jazz and try to get that one. SLC is always tuff.

You guys must be really polite. No one pointed out that of course I couldn't attend the game because the game is in Portland and I will be in Minnesota! Anyway, I haven't seen my brother in 10 years so this is a big deal. First time we will ever watch a game together that has our respective teams going against each other. Should be intense.

This makes no sense. Grant played better in pre-season, he makes more money, he started last year, and he will pout.
I am so confused.

"“I like that these guys already have some synergy,” Billups said. “They’ve played together quite a bit. They’re starting to really, really get to know each. They all have their thing that they’re so good at, if that makes sense … they kind of balance each other out. We have some downhill drivers in the group, which kind of fuels our offense, you’ve got shooting there. You got a lot of things there

“But it could have went a different way and I still would be just as confident and feel just as good about it.”

He did not play better than Shaedon in pre-season. At least not by the stats.

It looks like Minnesota is only a 4.5 point favorite, so you should put some big money on it!

I was not comparing him to our starting shooting guard. I was comparing him to another forward....... Toumani, who sat out most of the preseason.
Bottom line, Chauncey does not give a damn about age or salary like so many here, for some reason, thought he did. That does not mean he won't occasionally start Grant if he sees the need. But if it won't be for any of the reasons discussed for the last few months.

Grant stunk worse than he did last season (which was very stinky) in the pre-season. 25% on threes. 35% overall. No signs of a rebound so far. Just more suckage. He's again at the bottom of the % shooting like last season.
His defense isn't better than Camara's, neither is his offense.

I am not saying he deserves to start. I don't want him to start. I am saying everyone who argued all summer that he would start just because of his salary was wrong. As for his stats, he was 3rd on the team for rebounds, he played good D, and I am pretty sure he had the best +/- of anyone on the team. So Chauncey did have an argument to start him, yet didn't. That, and he didn't care about Grant pouting or not, like some said he would.
