We're on the clock for pick 22 right now...and Marcus Williams is available! We've got to pick him...come on, Rod Thorn...

It's official: Marcus Willliams is a Net! The classic, young replacement for J-Kidd. He's probably the best pure point guard in the draft. This is the perfect point guard for us. Next up, pick #23. Looks like a big man.

It's official. Williams is the PG of the future for the Nets. He should be great in the future learning from one of the best in J-Kidd.

    #23: Josh Boone

Solid pick, I'd prefer Johnson though.

What a steal!! Marcus Williams is the future of the Nets, and will be tutored by one of the best point guards ever. Great situation, and I hope Nets don't pull of some stupid trade and give up the draft rights to him.

    Our bench looks good.

    Marcus Williams
    Josh Boone
Mile Illic ( Pretty sure he is getting signed)
    Hassan Adams
Cliff Robinson (If nets decide to keep him)
Antoine Wright (Will probably get traded)
    Jacque Vaughn

If we add more depth, we will be dangerous.

When I saw he was still available after the lottery, I was crossing my fingers that some way he'd fall all the way to us, but I never thought it would be possible. I can't believe so many teams passed on the oppurtunity. I cannot wait to see how much Williams can improve our team.

I don't know how much Boone can provide for us, but it's great that he's teammates with Williams; that'll help a bit with team chemistry. After a somewhat confusing feeling after last year's draft, I love the outcome of this year's.

Me too. The bench better play well next season or else, I will be really pissed.

Wow very outstanding picks. Now we just needs to add a veteran big body and and this team should be good to go since people say that the nets are in rebuilding mode, it was kind of hard to tell with all the good things that they did last season. Wright just needs to make a better shot selection when he gets the chance to play and needs to slash to the rim more and make contact because i saw his footage and he has good slashing ability. I guess i dont really want to look at him as wasted pick from last year. Also i want to see this kidd illic play and see what all the hype is about

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Frank doesn't really give minutes to rookies. Only to krstic he did but that is because the frontline was so depleted after the Carter trade. Plus, Boone isn't going to contribute for another year or so. Same with Adams. Marcus should right away. Antoine will have to make big strides....

Our outside shooting still sucks too.

One problem we had last year was when Jason Kidd left the floor, the offense seemed confused, stagnant, and ball movement was terrible in the halfcourt set. With another floor leader in Williams, hopefully this won't be a problem in the future.

We should pull off a deal this summer with McInnis and/or Planinic for a veteran bruiser that could strengthen our frontcourt. We could also try free agency. I would make a strong push for Pryzbilla because he's cheap, he's a big body, and his defense and rebounding is what the team would need.

Nice draft for the Nets. Got 3 solid picks. Williams dropped so it was a great pick. Solid pick in Josh Boone. And then maybe a steal with Adams.
