Offensively, sure. But defensively, he's terrible. At least David West can play some defense. Boozer's pretty bad - too slow, bad footwork, etc. Rondo, Chandler, and Stevenson are the only guys that play defense on that team.
How is that ironic considering he's a Nets fan? The Nets finals teams of the early 20's were some of the best defensive teams in the NBA at that time. Obviously the team defense isn't great now, but that doesn't mean he has to deplore defense.
Yeah I was really hoping Moon would be there at my pick. I felt Korver was the best SF left and at least he opens up the floor. I chose Crawford because Rondo and Chandler aren't rreally scorers, and I wanted another scorer to take some of the burden off of Boozer so he doesn't have to score 30+ ppg for my team to be competitive. I feel pretty confident in Rondo's abilities to run my team. At times I can also run a Crawford, Stevenson backcourt if Rondo gets too shaky
Went with Darko this time. PG: Hinrich SG: Pierce SF: Iguodala PF: Milicic CE: Ilgauskas Bench: McDyess
Eddy Curry is gone who's going to ruin the chemistry on my team now??? who can I blame as a GM for our team underachieving (if it does ) ahhh back to the drawing board
cripes.. still 19 more picks until I go.. I hate being at one end of a looong draft like this. and I still gotta wait out whathisnames 2 picks to see if I get both of my players. He's c*ck blocked me a couple of times already.. yeesh.
Dude..these past 3 days I've been waiting 90 something picks for my pick haha In the other draft, I only gotta wait 40 more....in this one...not as lucky
yeah but that's due to trades.. me I gotta sweat out a lot of picks praying for my guy to come to me.. then he disappears 5 picks ahead of me.. ugh. so that's why some picks are not reaches.. if you gotta wait 50-someodd picks for your next choice and you really want someone, well you pick'em even if it is early.
So here's the team. I tried a new strategy for 4 of the 6 picks. PG: Rafer Alston SG: Raja Bell SF: Jamario Moon PF: Pau Gasol C: Al Horford Reserve: Anderson Varejao
Good rebounder, good defender. Can dunk the ball. Blocks a shot every once in a while. Why not. PG: Monta SG: BG SF: Kleiza / Outlaw PF: Aldridge C: Josh Boooooooone
He was a good rebounder on a Nets team that didn't have any other rebounders, so I'm not completely sold on his ability. Also, his post defense is pretty good, but he's not locking anyone down anytime soon.
But he can dunk! I know these things. Except I'm pretty sold on his rebounding. He's a damn good offensive rebounder. Then again, that might have something to do with the Nets' abilities to miss shots frequently. Then again (x2), I do have a team with Monta Ellis and Ben Gordon starting. So there are chances they'll be chuckers and they'll end up having many, many chances for offensive rebounding.
