I loved it when VC averaged 30/6/7 during the 05-06 playoffs. Amazing numbers. Besides Lebron and Kobe, nobody can do that. :D!

Once again, the topic is about Vince Carter, not any particular posters.

I agree with what jigga said regarding if all you care about is playoffs and nothing else. Nothing we can do to change your mind.

I thougt what vince did In the 2nd half of the season last year would have shut up any haters. Specially those who watch him on a nightly basis. I thought that defined him as a net. Lost Kidd. Lost his ankle. Lost his hope to win it all. Yet he still played his butt off and put up amazing numbers and becamE a true leader. It's a shame to see that pLayer get so much unnecissary hate. I really do feel sorry for the haters. They spend so much time hating that they miss out on this hall of famers career.

I hear Carter ate a spicy pizza and had bad gas, then took a few tums and feels much better now.

I don't know how many more times I should have to say this, but this is getting to be pretty ridiculous. This isn't a thread to dump on a guy because he doesn't like a certain player. This is a thread to discuss Vince.

Some of you need to grow up. If you really think someone's opinion is that wrong than you should be able to defend it intelligently. After that, it's probably better to agree to disagree than to get frustrated and start making fun of someone.

lol, someone put up the numbers last year

I cant clearly remember them but it was something like

when carter is playing the team can win not much but at leat 3X games

When carter was hurt the team won 0 games.

That basically shows how much he contributes to the team winning. Past playoffs dont mean shit, T-mac = rubbish coz he can never go past round 1?

That just reminds me - I love how T-Mac is hated on because he can't get past the 1st round...but then people compare T-Mac with Vince, and they'll say T-Mac is the better player.

And McGrady's back? And McGrady's ability (and willingness) to take over a game.

Stats are just numbers on paper. Great performances happen on the court.

Wow, don't tell me you back McGrady, but put down Carter.

And then you claim playoffs matter more than regular season.

That's a contradiction at its best.

yeah dude you've kinda backed yourself in a corner here. Game 1 and 2 vs jazz last year, I'm pretty sure tmac scored a grand total of 1 point in both 4th periods And In game 6 he scored close to nothing in the crucial 3rd quarter and they got down by 20. He ended up scoring 40 but only after the game was already decided. You call that a great performance? You call tracts 8 year stink a thon in the playoffs a great performance? How about vinces great performance in game four vs the pacers to tie it up. And then his 35pt 15rb and game winning dunk over oneal in the series changing game 5? The thing I've noticed with you is that ommit all the greatness vince has done over the years and only point out the bad he has done. Very classy act.

Thank you for refreshing my mind about all of vince great games though. So you got that right.

The funny part is that Vince's stats were better than Tmac's last season and plenty of great performances as Net, and that you completely ignore Vince's great performances in the season and playoffs while backing a player who is very similar but never made it past the 1st round..

The part where you hated on Carter because of his play in the playoffs, and yet back up T-Mac for...um...well, I don't know why.

Ask yourself this: How many times has Carter gotten past the first round? And how about McGrady?

Don't believe I was referring to one or two games. I was talking about their playoff careers.

And, really, I take McGrady over Vince, even with the back problems because, again, McGrady has the will to take over and dominate games by playing aggressively.

Vince doesn't have the drive to be aggressive on any type of consistant basis.

I notice multiple contradictions in this. First of, McGrady over Carter because of their playoff careers. Secondly, choosing McGrady over Carter because of aggressiveness.

You are saying Vince is more aggressive than McGrady, and more willing to take over games?

If that's what you are saying then you are wrong, and the majority of NBA players and management disagree with you.
