Re: Random Thought Thread Should be John Can'tcallfirstdownplaysforcrap McNulty. When I know what play we're going to run on first down, I'm pretty sure Fresno knows whats going to happen. Coaching staff sucked ass today. Kordell Young played very well. The staff just misused him. At least 95% of our first down calls were running plays to Kordell, and he nearly had his head ripped off on one of them. When you do it so often, the other team tends to pick up on it. And Fresno did. There was one play where we had a nice first down pass to Underwood (I think, don't really remember) in the flat and we got a nice 10+ yard game and a first down. Then, we ran the ball the next play and Kordell got an 8 yard gain. Brilliant! Why the hell didn't you do it more often!?! And why the hell are we using Mason Robinson on 4th down near the goaline! Are you freaking kidding me? We have a 240 pound beast, and we put in a 5'9" 190 tailback? He's not going to move the pile. Give me a break. Horrible playcalling. McNulty sucks.
Re: Random Thought Thread I think there were plenty of cases where MikeTeel McCannonArm just over threw his receivers. I don't think it's that outrageous to say that if he just took a little off some of his passes in the first half, Rutgers could have gone up 14-0 with the same playcalling.
