Lol thanks for the laugh but let's not go that far.

Some serious punishment needs to be handed down though, this is just not freaking funny.

Great attempt by Rivers, no sense in feeling bad about that.

There are no bad feelings about Rivers or the team play.

    Fuck Ed Hochuli.

Rivers was amazing in this game, and Sproles too of course.

Edit- My mistake, Chris Collinsworth used amorphous language.

The 0-2 doesn't bother me one bit. I'd rather start weak and finish strong, anyways.

However, that rule is fuckin' terrible and Ed Hochuli can still do what I told him to do.

IIRC, something like trying to throw a ball, then having it come out before forward motion starts.

To be honest the explanation was fuzzy. CC just said it was the "right" call.

A bullshit excuse to protect the QB even more. You know, because he might try and recover his fumble and get hurt in the process.

You mean what happened today? I'm still not sure about the details to be honest.

As for the 2001 event; that was a bad ruling, it was a pump fake then it got knocked out.

I'd say even with the technical jargon, it was a fumble.

Ah just to clarify something, CC explained the ruling again at halftime of the Steelers game, and the call was indeed incorrect.

Sorry for the confusion, Chris simply used hazy language when I first heard him.

    Bash away! ;)

It was fuckin' incorrect and Ed Hochuli has some suck...explaining to do.

After the game, he went over to Norv Turner and apologized for blowing the call. Norv was pissed during the press conference. Oh well, I'm not worried at all. Our next 4 games are winnable. We'll go on a roll here, starting Monday night!

    ^

You guys need to do something about your defense. It has been pretty horrible these last two games, if I'm not mistaken. 30 points at halftime is unacceptable for a team looking to go as far as you guys.

So, about this Derek Anderson guy? What happened to him? Wasn't he a pretty solid QB last year? He's been total garbage so far this year. I realize he's played a couple tough defenses (Dallas and Pittsburgh), but that's no excuse to play as crap as he has in the first two weeks. If he doesn't get his act together, he's going to end up looking like a really bad investment.

Though, I said on numerous occasions that he's not that good of a QB. And honestly, last year was a contract year, and how often do we see people have a career year in a contract year? Pretty frequently, and that's what leads me to think this is the case with him.

Aside from that game, is anyone else damn impressed with Aaron Rodgers? He definitely looks for real. Three TD passes today and over 300 yards. Granted it was against a weak defense, it's still a hell of a ball game and the Packers are still 2-0.

Rodgers looks good, yes. But I still question his ability to stay healthy. Week 1, he faced a legit defense. This week though, he faced the Lions. Hell, they made Matt Ryan look like Peyton Manning last week.

Green Bay does look for real, though. I thought they would have fallen off hard. Looks like it'll be Green Bay vs Chicago for the NFC North title this year.

I think it'll be Green Bay vs. No One for the NFC North this year. Chicago's offense begins and ends with Matt Forte. If he's not rattling off huge run after huge run, the Bears have no chance. Orton is the 2nd worst starting QB in the league and if Rex Grossman were to start, he would take the role as the worst starting QB in the league. The only way they can score points is by running the football and by relying on their defense and special teams. If they get in any type of an up and down game, they're doomed, because they have no ability to throw the football.

Throw that on to the fact that Minnesota is basically Chicago with a worse QB, and I see no competition for the Packers. The Vikings have the WORST starting QB in all of football in Jackson, at least in my opinion. He has no comprehension as to how to play well. He makes horrible decisions and I don't know if I've seen him throw many good balls this year. The only way they do anything on offense is Adrian Peterson. You shut him down, which I realize is easier said than done, and you win, because Tavaris Jackson is not going to win a ball game for you.
