I hate to hate on certain fans or members on this board because everyone is well behaved and usually generates solid discussion but something that is insanely unnecessary is the way certain fans (<strike>Nets</strike> Blazers fans, mostly, sorry guys) who keep to their <strike>nets</strike> blazers forum and use it for every single tidbit of news. for instance. The <strike>Artest trade</strike> Obama/Fannie Mae/Freddy Mac story just hit the news wire. So instead of going into the <strike>Rockets or Kings</strike> Religion & Politics forum and saying, hey this just happened. They go to the <strike>Nets</strike> Blazers forum and post the topic. This topic has nothing to do with the <strike>Nets</strike> Blazers AT ALL. It creates more threads then necessary and S2/forum exclusion. It also bumps the same topic many times and bumps off other threads with different array of topics. I just don;t see the point of it and it really makes me not want to visit this site because of its clicky mentality and lack of general discussion.

As aforementioned I have no problem with any particular person, I just think it wouldn't just hurt using some discussion board common sense.

    Noted.

The Nets and any other community will be treated the same as the Blazers community.

I agree. It would do the site better, but then again. If it were to bring in more members then it could bring in more Nets Fans :NOTMARIS::NOTMARIS::NOTMARIS::NOTMARIS::NOTMARIS:

^ I don't think using the boards properly is too much to ask? I'm not whining. I'm bringing out what I felt was a flaw in this sites activity. I had a forum based complaint and I presented it. You on the other hand came in here like an arrogant asshole and played the superiority card.

    Ignore him, <strike>Giantsfan.</strike> Pegs

The staff is aware of this (and we do appreciate feedback).... some have begun to venture out into other forums on S2. Others haven't. But it is something that we are trying to address.

I don't think anyone would disagree that it's not the "ideal" we want. Ideally, we'd like everyone to explore and talk to everyone.

On the other hand, we can all agree, can't we, that having quality activity in the first place, even if it's not organized the way we'd like, is way better than having no activity in the first place.

    Sounds familiar...lol j/k

But ya, at JBB we had the Warriors community dominate the forum but they at least made an effort to leave their forum to talk about topics in general in the right places. It is ridiculous to just post everything in one team forum rather than going to other parts of the forum. This site is suppose to be a big sports site, not a Nets, Blazers, or Warriors forum. With more action going on in every forum, it will eventually attract more people to join up with our site because they will see that all forum are active rather than just one.

That's part of the reason the blazer fans left bbf, was because they had people telling them they had to post in the political part of the forum. Just leave em' be, eventually some of them will venture out on their own.

No way! So someone tells people where to post in a forum, and they stop posting there?!

    Go figure. :dunno:
