Personally I'd think Portsmouth. This week Man City scored 6 goals vs. Portsmouth, while Aresnal scored 6 vs. Sheff United. Why is Arsenal getting so much more press than Man City? Now no need to answer that question. I know there are plenty of factors to think of such as Wenger who is a media magnet, Big 4 vs. None Big 4 among them... It's almost comical. -Petey
It's okay to be jealous, Petey. You don't have to cover it up, but realization is the first step, I guess. The reason why we're getting publicity is because nobody (apart from Arsenal fans, and a few others) know anything of Arsenal's other youth players. I believe it's also because of how "Vintage Arsenal" we played, even though we had a squad that consisted of only one or two first team players (Bendtner, Vela, Djourou). It just goes to show how much depth will we have in a few years time if everything goes well. On top of that, Vela scored a hat trick on hit first team debut. I'm not sure what the problem is here. I saw a lot of news on the Pompey vs. City game...
I didn't and I read BBC / Sky Sports, Daily Mail, The Sun, Daily Star, News of the World and Mirror UK every day. -Petey
What news do you see of Arsenal? All I see on BBC is: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/7633174.stm And of course on the Arsenal site.
Welcome to S2. Do you have a favorite footy team? That's true, the average age was around 18.5, which is extremely young. We just ran all over Sheffield.
It was the main story on the Daily Mail and The Suns after the game. There were articles carried on the other sites too. -Petey
Welcome to S2 el Diablo. As for the question Petey, I think Portsmouth is the better team, and the City win was more impressive. (not to take anything away from Vela's impressive debut though)
Another Gooner is always welcome. Drop by the Arsenal forum when you get the chance, and welcome to S2.
