It should probably be mentioned that although Barney Frank is a committed Massachusetts liberal, he actually grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey, in Hudson County, arguably the most politically corrupt county in the United States, and home of great political leaders such as Frank Hague, Bill Musto, Paul Byrne, and Bob Menendez. (Google their names it's fun). Judging by his actions, not only did he get a good education from Harvard, he got a nice education in Hudson County as well.
i was referring to your continuing allegation that Hudson County has the most corrupt county government in the nation. was that the joke?
It may be fair to say that it is "corrupt," but you don't have enough information to declare it the "most corrupt" or "one of the most corrupt." There are a lot of counties in the country, and many where it is probably common for politicians to award no-bid contracts to family members and friends, embezzle, and just generally use the government and their positions for their own financial gain.
I would say since it is ground zero for the state's corruption problem, and that New Jersey's one of the top three states for corruption, right up there with Illinois and Louisiana. There are around 3100 counties in the USA. Even if Hudson County, NJ is in the top 100 of the most corrupt counties in America, they're still up there.
