It's hard not to like any of these picks. I guess I'll see how your full roster fits together before making a judgement. So far, so good, though.
Rings are a poor standard. Dumb argument. The fact that he can't function unless the offense is built around motion because he can't score without a screen is a much better one.
I don't think that's entirely true. He excelled at coming off of screens but he was also good at dribbling in the paint for that Floater lay in he would flick up there too. He could spot up off of drive and kicks and drop 3 pointers, he would use that jab step and fad away shot too. besides motion offense is awesome if you have 5 guys who can score on the floor
well you can use that logic for most players who played in the 90's or the 60's, doesn't mean too much though.
The Celtics dominated championships during that time. The Bulls did win 6 championships, but there were many years they didn't that it coulda/shoulda been Indy, right?
Elvin Hayes was almost my most recent pick. It was a tough call between him and Nate the Skate. Dunno how I could pass up a PG who scored like Jordan and dished assists like Stockton, and there's certainly some other great PFs to be had. Nice pick, he was downright dominant.
Vince Carter is not even close to being 49th best player in history. It's doubtful (to me) that he'll make the HOF even.
