I didn't know it was all about 3-pointers. VC's has over 21 PER for the playoffs and his clutch scoring is good even at this old age.
You don't know Vince's game then, because he takes less jumpers than most of the All-Star guards in this league.
that still doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things.....At times he falls in love with the jumper too much, and does not take it to the basket............ I don't believe I said anything about it being all about 3 pointers. But if I have a team full of great players it makes sense to put great clutch shooters around them........Reggie Miller is just that.....there are many other players currently and in the past that should've went ahead of Vince at that position..............
Dream face it, you added your input before you thought things through. This is an unfounded statement because no one can track what percentage of total shots are jumpers. You're saying he's not clutch as the reason why.
Could we split this into two threads? One for general discussion, like how awesome Adrian Dantley is, and one about how Huevon's picks aren't that good.
but we all have eyes, and me, other fans, critics, etc. all take notice of Vince falling in love with the jumper at times......... there are many other players who are more clutch than Vince, and there are many other players that are flat out better than him..........there's a reason why you're the only one that views this as a good pick..........
There's absolutely nothing you can say to prove this, whereas 82games.com clearly tracks what percentage of his shots are jumpers. No there aren't actually. His clutch stats are tracked too.
you base way too much of your argument on stats......that's why your team is mediocre thus far.......... I can think of many people who are much more clutch and are/were better big game players................... EDIT and didn't quit on their team.
There's nothing to argue, you made absolutely no point. Yes because my team is comparable to Toronto's from back in his day.... Huh?
Yes I did.......Vince has a tendency to fall in love with the jumper at times.....Someone on a rockets website tried to claim that Tmac was more aggressive at taking it to the basket, just because Kobe shot more jumpshots....and that is simply not true. At critical points in the game both Vince and Tmac rely too much on their jumpers.... when compared to everyone elses teams it is mediocre....McHale is your best player.....McHale was great, but when compared to everyone else's best player he's not as good..........
Look at Adrian Dantley's stats and tell me exactly why Vince Carter is better. Summarize for me if you could (and you can't) why David Robinson deserves to be selected over Tim Duncan and Shaq. You took Chris Paul based on this year's playoffs only. He's not one of the NBA's top 36 players of all time at this point in his career. Tell me what (other than a jump shot) Chris Paul has that Jason Kidd didn't do better in his prime.
Tmac > Vince with that being said I still wouldn't pick him this early.................the choke factor ranks pretty high in my book............
All you are doing is ranting against a player you don't like. You've been given the evidence that would disprove your notion a million times now. Ew no, DRob easily is. You've got some vendetta against him I don't understand.
